Buy DVD(2) and Burn"Recovery Disc Creator2" from your own Hard drive, this should have actually been done BEFORE the Crash, But this will Initialize components that were lost or in need of repair at no cost to you and give you a back up for future reference. Thank you TOSHIBA for NOT letting us know this. How do I know this, been there -Done that. A recovery disc will cost you 24.95.
If you want it to be fixed as soon as you can, you can buy a new Operating System Disk for example the Microsoft Windows Xp or buy the same operating system that you are using right now. You can also borrow someones CD that is the same Operating System version that is installed in your computer to reformat your PC right away. When you are using Windows, all you need is the CD Key that is used in your laptop, it is usually written in a sticker under your laptop. When you buy a brand new installer, you will have a new CD key in it. Dont forget to save/back-up all your important files first in an external harddisk, usb flash drive or in a CD first before you start reformatting your computer. Get a help from a computer guy on how to format it. Hope this helps.
