Color is horrible basically black and white - Samsung HC-P4752W 47" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Since the model is not found, its difficult to say. however in most cases the subtractive colors are used ie cyan,magenta and yellow. with mixing these white is produced but in case of basic color used ie. red,green and yellow, on mixing these black color is produced. Mostly cyan, magenta and yellow is used hence you can not produce black color so the a complete color print not possible.

I have the same problem & have been searching for weeks for a replacement printer that will print B & W with one or more colors empty. I haven't had any luck yet - I did run across a post that said: For black and white images and photos, a blend of colors called "composite black" may be used to achieve significantly better image quality and smoother gray tones than can be accomplished with black inks alone. I'm still searching...

This DLP tv have a colors wheel.Ur tv colors wheel is dead.When u have black & white picture,colors fade in and out.The tv make loud squiling or loud motor noises.All these problems are related to the colors wheel.Hire a tv repair Tech. for this job,because the colors wheel,require take out alots of machanical's parts out even before to get to the colors wheel to replaced it.

Well colors can vary, but basically bare copper or green are grounds, white is the neutral wire (but it is powered in a switch loop, and when used in a switch loop it is taped with a piece of electrical tape to show it is powered). Black, red, blue, brown, and pretty much any other color except green and white can be a power wire (black red and blue are the most common colors used).

well if you can still see its okay but if it goes haywire and freezes u have got yourself a problem, my friend

go into menu turn color off see if you have a black and white picture if not adjust red,green, and blue screen drive on controls in back of tv you have red, green, blue it will have focus /screen controls cover each tube do one at a time blue focus and screen drive adjust to clear blue picture do all 3 tubes, then adjust them to where you have a black&white picture once this is done turn color controll back on.Thank You for using FixYa and Have a Nice Day.

The problem is the color wheel. It may have broken or motor stopped on clear. Either way the image will remain unchanged just without color. It will need to be sent in for service. Not an unusual problem for BENQ. I have had 3 that have come apart after making a loud whirring sound. Good luck getting someone with BENQ to help they are horrible when it comes to service. Buyers beware!!!
