They [ cameras and tripods]all have a standard screw fitting. So all cameras will fit all tripods. The only factors therefore to consider is- weight[As it is a small digicam] you will not need a heavy weight one and the depth of your purse.
Best bet take the camera along to a store and try a few. If it is not to be a surprise take Hubby too to try them out for himself. ;-}

This is a chip problem... My FIRST S7000, had this problem, and I had it replaced by Fuji {out of warranty}, now today, the SECOND S7000 is doing the exact same thing!
