Slvr phone hey i have the same problem with mine. i opened it up and noticed if i press down where the graphic cable is connected the screen is back. the grahic cable connection spot is right by the camera. also mine when opening it up my power quite working. any suggestions?

Mine is Motorola SLVR L6 but you might try this on your phone.

The Motorola SLVR L6 has a built-in media player, digital camera/video camera, Bluetooth connection and a removable microSD memory card. Since Motorola discontinued this phone, you can no longer download the software from the Cingular or Motorola website. Instead, you need to download it through the Mobile Action website. You will find updated software and driver downloads for the phone's handset manager and Bluetooth connections.

Instructions

1. Connect one end of the USB cable to your phone's USB port. Plug the other end into your computer's USB port.

2. Navigate to the Mobile Action website (see Resources). Locate the types of software that allow PC-to-mobile uploads.

3. Click the name of the software you want. A presentation should appear on your screen, allowing you to follow along while downloading the software.

4. Double-click the software installation on your desktop. Enter your full name, street address, phone number and email address to register with Motorola. Provide your cell phone account information, if necessary.

5. Follow installation instructions. Restart your computer for it to recognize the newly installed software.

you will need to open it.
one of two things:-
1, the screen is damaged, and needs to be replaced, means getting a replacement screen for your phone modem then opening the phone to fit it yourself or have someone fit it for you.
2, the flexi board cable that connects the screen to the motherboard has come a little loose and will need pushed back into place, still meaning opening it to look at. I would try this before you purchase a new screen.

If you have access to a laptop computer that has an Infrared Port or Bluetooth communications, you can download your videos and picture files via either of these two methods. I use an old IBM Thinkpad 600 with IR port to download mine. You have to put your z525 phone into Infrared mode first, its kind of tricky with out seeing what you are doing. First, open your phone, press upper right (-) sign to get menu, click joystick control down 2 times then right 1 time. next press upper left (-) sign to select. next joystick right 4 times, and down 1 time. press upper left (-) sign, then joystick up 1 time. press upper left (-) 1 time. Your Infrared Port will now be turned on, and your I.R. enabled laptop can now receive the files from your phone. Close your phone, open it again, press upper right (-) , press joystick down 1 time, then left 1 time, then press the joystick center select button 2 times. Joystick right 1 time, press joystick select 1 time. press upper right (-) 1 time, joystick down 5 times, joystick right 1 time, joystick down 3 times, joystick center select 1 time. Hold the lower left corner of your phone toward the I.R. port of the laptop, it will receive the first photo file in your camera pictures file. Another possible method would be to obtain a usb connector cable for the z525 phone to connect it to your computer. Using the usb cable the computer would recognize the phone, you could click on the phone icon, under "MyComputer" and transfer the files to your hard drive. I hope this helps. -Mike

This sounds like a flex cable issue. You will need to have a tech examine the device to see if the flex cable needs replacement.

The flex cable is the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the rest of the electronics and allows the slider mechanism to slide and have the device maintain proper electrical connection. After two years it may very well be worn out.

hey sorry to say it may b wrong of wht im saying, if it is sorry.. In my point of view there is only motorola cd which will guide you to go into d internet... ie through d cd first u must install d software in pc and then connect the mobile to the pc through data cable... so u can open directly the internet from the software which u have downloaded in the pc.. 
 the above solution is for only when gprs is activated in  airtel phone... and not for airtelive....

Error(-48) is somekind of hardware communication error. The easiest way to fix it will be to flash the firmware. Here's how to do it.. It will take a while(around half an hour) but its worth it and will also improve the sound clarity of your phone.

What u need :
1) Motorola Driver
2) RSD Lite or Flash&Backup 3
3) Monster Pack(Flash update for(Lseries including SLVR)

Firstly you need to backup all your files that stored on phone memory because it will delete everything in your phone when you flashing.
Start RSD Lite and let it connect to your phone. If your phone is not detected (and you are certain you have everything installed), disconnect the data cable, then shut your phone off, and manually put it into bootloader mode. You do this by pressing and holding down the "*" and "#" keys while pressing and holding down the on button until you see text display on your screen. Now connect the phone back to the data cable. Now click the button labeled "...".

This will bring up the open file dialog box. Find the file you want to use (in this case select your monster pack file) and then click the button labeled "Open".

Click the "Start" button. Now you should see various messages displayed on the screen as the program processes each code group and does various other things.

After it's finished and your phone has given you a confirmation tone, you can click "Close" and disconnect your phone from the cable and check out your changes.

Don't panic. Just close the program, chance are your phone is just fine. Sometimes this happens. This is usually caused by a checksum error. There could be more serious cases where you phone appears dead. In this case try to reflash your file again. You could also try reflashing another file.

I suffered the same problem as you, fortunately I fixed it after a lot of messing around.
First what you want to do is switch off the system completely. Once the power light is off, switch the system back on, once the LCD screen turns on, immediately press and hold down the YV/LCD screen for about 5 seconds, a white screen should appear.

You will have three options, click the second option, (i think it is repair) and connect the archos to the PC. This will allow you to transfer all your files to PC because you can access the harddrive.

Once you have taken all the files you want, turn the system off again. Then again, turn the system on, hold down the TV/LCD button for 5 seconds until the white screen appears. Choose the format option. This will take your archos back to factory settings. It took me a few goes to get it back to normal but once its done, you will be glad you put the effort in.

Now all there is to do is to take your files back across via cable and you should be done!

Hi,  This is a common problem but there is hope.  Open the phone and turn it over so that the camera is facing you.  On the

left side between the camera lens and the vol up/down buttons

squeeze that area.  This is where the ribbon cable is connected.

By squeezing this area you reseat the connection.  Let me

1. Ok wat u do is to go at the screen where it is asking for the mobile security code.
2. As the problem lies here,either you have forgotten it or watever...here is the trick...
2 (i) at the particular screen just hold on the menu
key,(the one at the top in the middle) keep
on pressing it till it says 'shortcut not allowed
for this item'...
2 (ii) what happened actually u will notice that the
available slot which was only restricted to a 4
units security code has extended to a 6 slot
availability.
2 (iii) now u are done...u just key-in 6 times '0'(zero)
eg. 000000 ...then u press ok.and that's it...
your security code has changed and you will
be asked for a new one.
