Resetting GMT hand

Hi,

I am trying to reset the red hand on my watch to the "12" position. The manual seems to refer to this as the GMT hand that indicates a second time zone. I know how to reset the 1/10 second hand and the second hand but I can not seem to find anyway of resetting the red hand on my chronograph. I do not see anything in the manual that explains how to do this. Any assistance you can offer would be much appreciated.

How do you use the 12 hour timer, 60 min timer and the 60 sec timer? They just sit there. The only timer that moves is the 1/10 timer.

I have CL1180 and had the same problem, pulling the winder out to position 2 (fully out) and using the buttons resets the second and 10th second hands and putting the winder in position1 and using the buttons does the same for the minute and hour hands. However finding position1 was tricky, only seems to work on the way out from fully home and not on the way back from pos 2.

Hope that helps.

SOURCE: Tag Heuer Aquaracer reset red hand

The red hand is not for GMT on the chronograph model (the one with push-buttons above and below the crown) but for chronograph (stopwatch) seconds. It can be adjusted with the crown pulled out into either the first or second setting position- I forget which, you'll have to try each one out- and then pushing one of the buttons to advance it to zero (again, I forget which button, you'll need to try them both out). The small seconds sub-dial at the 6'oclock position is for constant seconds, not chronograph seconds, and cannot be set, but only stopped at whatever position you want and then restarted again, by pulling the crown all the way out to the second position, and then pushing it back in again at the right moment.

How do I reset the millisecond hand used in the stop watch function on my nixon Ride SS watch?

Try this:
Resetting Chronograph Hands:
Note: Some Nixon watches come equipped with a "screw-down" crown; the crown must be unscrewed by turning it counterclockwise before it can be pulled out)
1. Pull the crown all the way out to position 2.
2. Push the crown in slightly to position 1.
3. Push top pusher button to advance the second hand to line up with the 12:00 position
4. Push the crown back in. (Make sure it is screwed in if it is a screw crown)

What is GMT? GMT is an absolute time reference & doesn't change with the seasons

My watch Casio 4723 is one hour fast after following the instructions on how to reset-please help

I know this an old thread but... What anonymous above said... Go into hand settings mode and set all hands to 12 then press A to exit... Have a good read of the hand setting section in the manual how to do this and it will become clear.. Your time should be correct after this, if it's still out make sure your GMT offset is correct and update the time via radio control. All should be well. It's kind of complicated but once you've done it it's easy!
One thing about this watch that's annoying.. It doesn't seem to have an hourly chime ??

I have a chronograph watch with a white and a red

The trick is to pull out the stem 2 times and use the plugers to adjust each of the dials. Some watches have 3 dials and you have to pull out the crown 1 time or click and use the plungers or buttons to adjust the other dials.

Crane and Viceroy ladies RC watch

Hi, Klik and Crane & Viceroy are excellent and robust watches, but due to the radio control batteries need to be changed more often than ordinary watches. Instructions for resetting the time on a Klik or Crane & Viceroy watch. With the watch face upwards and the buttons on the right assume the buttons to be; top button - "A", middle button "B" For setting the watch to GMT all hands need to point to 12 oclock exactly. To achieve this press Button A until the hands start spinning. Stop the spinning when the time reaches a couple of minutes before 12 oclock by repressing A. Inch the time forward by repressing Button A until all hands are at 12 oclock.(EXACTLY). Press Button B within 10 seconds and the time will advance 1 hour and stop. The radio signal will be picked up automatically and time will set itself in a few minutes. Notes: If you have radio dead spots avoid these when resetting the watch and do it away from magnetic or large metal objects. i.e. trays etc. If you are refitting a new battery and have a battery that isn't quite dead, do the advancement of time with the old battery and fit the new one near to 12 oclock to get the best life out of the new battery. If for any reason you want the watch to be in radio mode but read a time other than GMT ( no adjustment is needed for BST ), then instead of stopping the watch at 12 oclock stop it at the time in relation to 12 oclock. i.e. if you wanted the watch to read 30 minutes fast then stop the watch at 12.30. if you want any other info my email is; [email protected]
