First thing to try would be a full cmos reset, most motherboards will accomplish this if you remove the cmos battery overnight then replace and start the machine back up

No video on my new motherboard biostar g31 m7 te

Here are the detailed specifications: http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdetails.asp?model=p4m900-m4
There is an integrated VGA card on the motherboard, but it is better and more powerful to use a dedicated VGA card.
Just be sure to buy a PCI-Ex VGA card.
If you need further assistance please leave a comment. Cheers

Hi

There could be many things that could stop the board from turning on, Determining what is wrong is like detective work. What I do, is take everything off the board to start. Then add the minimum to start a board to see if it will start. That's one drive (cd or HDD or whatever as long as it's a drive) the CPU, graphics card (if required) and one bank of memory, unless the board requires dual matching chips.. (that's not a required eliminate, but it helps avoid beep codes) Also, make sure you have your pin's set on the board absolutely correct, or that could be your problem to begin with. Also, if your going to load a ide drives, make sure you set your pin settings for master/slave/CS are set correctly on it. Now, you should get the power supply on, and the cpu fan spinning. If those don't power up, it's then either one of the six elements. The CPU, Power supply, Ram, Drive, graphics card or finally the motherboard. The next step is to replace each one of the elements with another to see if you get any change. Also, on the drive, try a different cable to make sure it's not that. I usally start with the drive, then move to the memory chip, next CPU, Last PSU. I also make sure that my replacements work on another machine first. If no change, then it's save to say you have a bad Board. It's a lot of work I know, but it's the sure fire way of finding out what isn't working.
Please don't forget to leave a rating.

Thanks Mark

Warning cpu been changed re enter cpu setting en the cmos fet

Cmos drop usually means it's time to replace the motherboard BATTERY. A new battery and one more reset should fix this problem, if not, check for loose mobo connections. As a last resort, consider having the board and CPU tested for electronics issues.

Emachines220 celron 2.5 gig

I've had 2 emachines t2682s with celeron 2.6ghz procs, go bad. From my research it seems that the PSU goes out and takes the mobo with it. just this week i am updating the latest fatality. Thought i had the fix but new mobo only supports celeron D and P4. Just ordered new proc. Should have changed it all over to AMD like I did with the last one. Good luck finding the right mobo with 2 pata ide sockets. I'm currently trying to use a biostar P4M900-M4 but need to upgrade RAM and CPU. Could have gone with an AMD dual core set-up for same dough. Hope this helps some.
