Xbox 360 System freezes short time (sometimes 1 min, sometimes 20 mins) after loading.  Rebooting solves problem for a minute, but then it freezes again.

The same thing happened to me and then i got the rrod. :(. But then i did the towel trick and now its works again. the towel trick is where you unplug every thing included the hdd but leave the power cable in. then you wrap the xbox in towels and let it cook for about 20 min. then when its done let it cool for 15 min then it should work again.

if your playing the campaign mode you can't change the time only with multi player

Shut the system down for 10 mins. at least and unplug too.
Let the system rest and then try it

Check back of game for any scratches check center ring and make sure it looks like your other xbox 360 games and if everything seems ok you have 2 options

1. Take it back for a different copy the one you have may be current.
2. Download to hard drive it reduces load timesand freezings

Libary> Click on NFS with game in cd tray > choose download to hard drive..

It takes only 10 mins.

No red lights? Do you have your system properly vented? If you own an older system you may want to consider purchasing a cooling fan. Also some games are known to have a freezing glitch "Ex: Rainbow 6 vegas 1" If the games are freezing all the time after just 10 minutes that sounds like something you may want to contact Microsoft about repairing

Send your xbox 360 back to microsoft because it sounds like your xbox 360 is getting the ring of death its what happened to mine before it go the ring of death.
