Gas line with filter broke inside tank how to

You will need to purchase some new gas line of the same size as on the trimmer now and cut it to length as needed. The line will go into the gas tank and will have a fuel filter attached to the end of it.
You will need to fish the line out of the tank and put the line on the fuel filter. To thread the new line through the tank or housing it helps to cut the new line on a 45 degree angle so you can grip the line and pull it though. U tube has videos on how to do this so you can have a better idea of what you need to do. It is a little tricky sometimes. Hope this helps.

Yes, that was the fuel filter. If it was loose then your fuel lines are probably bad. They will need to be replaced.

cheapest way is a new fuel tank from e-bay that has it all installed
you can remove the rubber grommet around the lines to get it out then get a new filter to push on the line BUT will it be cost effective against what can be obtained from e-bay

Make sure that you have the right size lines the smaller diameter line goes into the bottom hole of the tank cut a 45 angle at the end of the line as you put the line into the tank twist and push until you get enough line to pull up through the fuel filler hole then cut the line so that the 45 is no longer and slip the fuel filter on then pull back the line until the filter rests at the bottom of the tank. Do the same with the upper line except that line will only go in 3 to 4 inches. I hope this helps you.

The smaller line is connected to the fuel filter in the tank and goes on the carb body opposite the end with the hole in the cover. A larger diameter line coming out of the tank is the fuel return line and has the little connector on it just inside the tank to hold it in place there
It goes on the carb body (if primer is on carb) by the bulb.
If there is an external bulb...the small line is the same...there would be a larger line going from the carb body (nearest the end with a hole in the cover) to the smaller nipple on the primer bulb. A third larger diameter line would be connected to the larger nipple on the primer bulb and running to the little nylon connector inside the tank. This is the fuel return line and the smaller diameter line is of course the fuel supply line.

Sounds as though the fuel filter may be plugged. The filter is in the tank. Take a look, see if it is visible. Remove and replace. Good luck...Lee

look in the gas tank and see if there is a little filter in end of gas line.

Yes if your asking about the fuel line yes it hooks to the filter out thru the wall of the gas tank straight into the carb. if it broke out side the tank you can try a smaller plastic hose to stick inside to reconnect the two parts. if it broke inside the tank try to replace as one hose.
