Make sure your tape tab is open. See if this works. Sometimes the tab should be closed to prevent eraser or recording over existing film but sometimes the tape tab has to be open to allow for playback or dubbing?

Well I had to take mine back to the service center. They said the tape tab had nothing to do with the blue lines. I guess the UP unit they replaced did not either but maybe it needed it. They said the head had to be cleaned and realigned or adjusted. They said make sure the camera has time to adjust to temperature when moving from a hot location to colder one.

You need 3 cables Yellow, (Video) + Red & White, (Audio L&R Stereo) Or Mini-DIN, for SVHS Video cable, this is ONLY for Video, Audio, is still Red & White. Or Component, where you have 3 Video Sockets, cables, Green, Red, Blue, All video, all color to color, both ends, and again Red & White for Audio. Sometimes there is FireWire, or HDMI you need a cable and the PC MUST also be equipped, You need software and drivers for FireWire, of HDMI..

My screen is striped blue during playback with no soud panasonic palmcorder pv gs15

Your tape has a small latch on it that closes to protect from recording or eraser and opens to allow for playing or dubbing. Slide it open and see what happens.

Sorry to say- but it is trashed.. It would cost more to fix it than it would be to buy a new one.

Little red box with red line through it is in the middle of my screen. And it want record or take pictures. Why want it work?

Check if there is a tape in the camcorder and check the record safe tab on the tape. (The little white or red tab on the bottom right of the tape.)

Typical CCD sensor problem ...replace CCD block. This is normally due to a faulty component being installed so even if your camera is out of warranty try to have it done free of charge.

PV-GS9 mini dv playback problem

I covered several threads that recommended buying a Mini DV cleaner and running it up to 4 times. They also suggested to change to change your video tape as it may have been the cause of the original problem.

These solutions may have worked for many but not me. My camera was becoming progressively worse. It went to blue bars and no sound to no picture at all...just blue. After using a cleaner 4 times I became frustrated to the point I was going to buy a new camera.

However, with the camera still playing, I did the typical guy thing and rolled up my fist and gave it a good hit along side of it. Remarkably it went back to just the blue bars. I hit it again and it went back to a perfect picture. I'm not saying this will work for you and hitting it too hard could make things worse but I was at a point where I didn't care any more and took a chance that paid off.
