Not sure if this will help as my previous experience is that the clock starts at 12:00 each time it is started up.

In my case it was a flat computer battery that keeps the BIOS active when shut down, hence it was losing all it's settings each time it was shut down.

Note: This does not explain the looping, so this answer may be one "just to try" if no other answers come up.

I dont no how to set the timer to 24 hr clock

change to 12 clock
however a 24 hour clock has the same times up to midday -- midnight to midday --- the hours are 1 to 12 oclock after midday you take 2 off the reading and it is the same time as a 12 hour clock
so 1300 is 1 o'clock, 1400 is 2 oclock ,1500 is 3 o'clock
1800 is 6 o'clock 2400 is midnight
the minutes are the same regardless so 1.30 is 1.30 after midnight or 1330 after midday or 1.30 after midday now for example --if you want the timer to start at 6am you set the timer to start at 6 am to switch off at 8 am set switch of at 8 am
it you want the timer to start at 6 pm set it at 1800 and switch off at 10pm set it at 2200 hrs

Daylight Saving Time Changes for SmartSet Clock/Radios

Dear Emerson SmartSet® Clock/Clock Radio Owner:
Your Emerson SmartSet® Clock or Clock Radio includes Emerson’s patentedAuto Time Setting System that
automatically sets the clock to the correct year, month, date, day and time, the first time that you plug it in, and
after every power interruption. It also includes a built-in long life lithium battery that can maintain the time and
alarm settings for up to 5 years, or even longer.
As an added benefit we have programmed the internal SmartSet® computer to automatically adjust for Standard/
Daylight Saving Time changes through the year 2097. TheDaylight Saving Time information programmed into
all SmartSet® models was based on the United States Uniform TimeAct of 1966, which formalized theDaylight
Saving Time period that we observe today. CurrentlyDaylight Saving Time begins on the first Sunday in April
and ends on the last Sunday in October.
The new Energy Bill that was signed into law by President Bush in August 2005 includes a provision to
extend Daylight Saving Time. Beginning in 2007 Daylight Saving Time will begin on the second Sunday in
March and end on the first Sunday in November.
Of course this is a situation that is beyond the control of Emerson, or any other company that produces
devices with an automaticDaylight Saving Time adjustment feature. For example most computers, PDA’s, and
many other devices also have automatic DST adjustments. Manufacturers of these devices must now begin to
make adjustments to the automatic DST software to agree with the new DST timing for 2007.
Beginning in 2007 the current automatic DST default settings in this device would no longer be correct. It
would then be necessary for you to manually adjust the TIME ZONE setting 4 times each year as follows:
1.) On the second Sunday in March you would have to set your clock to the next lower number time zone.
For example if you lived in the Eastern Time zone (Zone 02) you would then change your clock to Zone
1 to move it ahead by one hour.
2.) On the first Sunday in April, this clock will automatically advance by one hour. You must then set the
clock back to your correct time zone. For example if you lived in the Eastern Time zone you would set
your clock back to Zone 02.
3.) On the last Sunday in October you would again set your clock to the next lower numbered time zone.
4.) On the first Sunday in November you would again set your clock back to your correct time zone.
Instructions for changing the Time Zone setting are found in the Owner’s Manual.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause due to circumstances that are beyond our control.

Hi mutumbac. Please check the battery on your computer's motherboard. All motherboards have a small (clock-type) battery that powers the internal clock even when the computer is turned off. These batteries are good for about 2 years, and after that they should be replaced or else the computer will reset the date and time every time it boots up.

I just purchased a Heritage Mint Ltd Timepiece Quartz Regulator wall clock but it chimes two hours slower than the actual time. Need to know how to correct it. There is a red push button on the back of...

I have the same clock. Here's what I did to re-set it after changing batteries: After replacing batteries, use the turn dial to set the correct time. Press the RED button 6 times, wait for it to go through that series of chimes, then press the button again to set the time.
Example: Press RED button 6 times. Wait for it to chime. Press RED button the correct number of times for the hour to be set. For 5:00, press the button 5 times, etc.
I lost the directions to my clock, and I am posting this from memory and also just had to re-set mine and it works OK now.
Hope this helps!

I would first check the condensate drain pipe. This can be done by blowing back into the drainpipe from outside. Not to worry it is not dirty or dangerous. Also make sure that your air filters are clean.

S10Scan atomic clock model 87310 time is 4;pm should be 10:am

Hi

Time zone setting
Language Setting
The weekdays can be displayed in LCD1 with the pre-set languages: US English, French and Spanish.
1. Set the desired language for the weekday display in LCD 2 by use of the + key.
2. Press the SET key to enter the mode “Manual Time Setting”.
Manual Time Setting
In case the Skyscan Atomic Clock is not able to detect the WWVB-signal (disturbances, transmitting distance, etc.), the time can be manually set. The clock will then work as a normal Quartz clock.
Note:
In 12 hours mode the time will be displayed with an additional “PM” for the time from 12:00 noon until 11:59.
1. The hour digits will start flashing on LCD1. Set the desired hours by pressing the +key followed by pressing the SET key.
2. Now the minute digits will start flashing. Set the desired minutes by pressing the +key . If the + key is held, the units will increase by 5.
3. Press the SET key to move to the “Year Setting”.
Note:
The unit will still try and receive the signal every day despite it being manually set. When it does receive the signal, it will change the manually set time into the received time. During reception attempts the WWVB tower icon will flash. If reception has been unsuccessful, then the WWVB tower icon will not appear but reception will still be attempted the following hour.
WWVB time reception takes place from 12:00 am through 6:00 am each day (attempts WWVB reception every full hour within this time frame). When the time signal is received for example at 1:00 am, the Skyscan Atomic Clock will not attempt to receive the WWVB signal for the remaining hours until 6:00 am. Therefore, the next signal attempt will take place between 12:00 am and 6:00 am the next day. The other times WWVB reception takes place, are upon setup and after manual time set exiting mode. Reception is generally not possible during daylight hours due to the interference of the sun.
