Lost G-Link Cable

I purchased a used RCA F19436 television and it came without a remote, and cables. I found a remote from a local dealer, but can't seem to find a G-Link cable. The RCA website has no links for ANY parts for older TVs (at least none that I can find).
Any suggestions on where I can find this cable? The television has a great picture!!

using your cable box connect the audio and video outputs to the tv via the RCA inputs1, 2, 3, or component inputs on the tv and then select the coresponding video input to view your cable. If you do not have a cable box you can connect your cable to the antenna A or B input jack on the back of the set and set the tv input to antenna

Yes, enter the menu. Look for signal source (ant/cable) select cable. Then run channel scan. This is an older TV and will require some time for the system to scan the cable channels and adjust. The process could take up to 20 min. Do not disrupt. Wait fo unit the TV is completed the process. If you have the operations manuel, the step by step for this process is posted.

Please note this TV is only capable of process NTSC TV signals. If the cable company you are using is supply Digital or Quam or ATSC type signals then the TV just won't work.

G-link can be turned off through the menu. You should see that selection in the first or second page of the set up menu. G-link is for TV guide and record setup for VCR operation. The TV guide should also be set to off or "no" in the same setup menu. You MUST got through the complete setup menu in order for the TV Guide not to try to operate each time you turn on the TV.

PC to LG TV. on PC we have DVI out. We have used a DVI to HDMI cable. we have plugged this into HDMI3 input on the side of the TV. we are using a wall mount, and dont want to damage cables by plugging...

Can you assign different audio inputs on your TV to go "with" video input HDMI3
If so, you can connect the RCA cable into an input on the TV and on the other end you will need to purchase a "dual RCA female to 3.5(1/8") mini adapter" to go into your PC.
These can be found at your local radio shack type store or ebay.

I hope this helps

How do I put the GE remote xs stereo monitor into input mode without the remote?

A good universal remote to use with that monitor is the RCA RCRN04GR, available at WalMart. I recently bought a 25" GE Remote Monitor XS Stereo from a Days Inn that was replacing all of those monitors with Flat Screen TV's. When I got it home I found that it would not go to channel 4 which was default with my COX Digital Cable Box. Channel 3 is the default channel on the monitor, so I ran an AV cable from the cable box, disconected the coax and hooked up the AV cable to the back of the TV and that solved the problem. I hope that answer was helpful.

Lost the remote

Without the Panasonic remote you can not get to those features to program these sets. I have included a link to purchase a replacement remote control. They aren't expensive and much easier to use than a universal remote. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks...

Cable device is broken

Linda, you could purchase an RF modulator that will convert the signal from the coax cable to a signal that you can connect using RCA jacks. These devices are relatively inexpensive and will save you the time lost without a TV if you were to take it to a repair shop and have the coax input repaired. They can be found at most major department stores and electronic stores.I hope this assists you and thanks for using Fix Ya. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Set will not turn on

If you're NOT still under warrantee you should at least open the TV and look for a blown fuse near where the power cable enters the set. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs. good luck!
