This is likely your convergence IC solder connections. Does it look bowed and rainbow colored? The red, green, and blue will be mis-aligned causing a shadow effect. If you can bump it then the ICs (chips) are still ok, it just needs resoldering.
Hi There!
You can certainly clean the mirror and lenses. surgical alcohol and a soft cloth should do the trick. Be careful when removing the screen. It is fragile and the slitest bump can damage it permanently. Also be careful not to turn or bump the lenses. Thus can result in many hours wasted on realignment. Good luck, JUS004
Repair will require technical and mechanical
skills. The red convergence IC will need replacement, which will require the chassis to be removed. After IC change, alignment in the
servicer menu may be needed.Go slow--Remember,
above all else,do no harm. You have a great tv,so my suggestion is get a senior tech on this one.
