Remote codes i have just purchased a masterplug universal remote model tvrc1n-mp-ic(d) and it said it was compatible with a pacific tv but there is no code in the booklet and i have tried all the other steps and it still doesn`t work please help

Hi! I've just bought a cheap universal (NOT 3 in 1/4 in 1) from Asda for £4.50,(model number TVRC1N by Masterplug) and I used the 'search' function as follows;
Power up tv
Press and hold 'tv' button (on bottom right on this control) until led blinks repeatedly
press 0000 ( a black button below the 8)
It should pick up the correct code almost immediately, and then you can test it by turning the tv on and off
Can now get AV1 and AV2
OR:Try 0065 or 0584 as your codes ...I think the later is the best bet...I know these codes work with sky remotes so no reason they shouldn't with universal's.

You can perform a manual search.

Press and hold TV,SAT,DVD or VCR until the centre light blinks red.

While it is blinking press 0000

The flashing will speed up.

Press the power button repeatedly - it will cycle through all codes.

When your device turns off (powers off) press the okay button.

It should now power on and off correctly.

Check the other buttons to see if everything works.

If it does not start the process again - it will hit another code which will also power down the device - takes a long time but should work - manual states it may take 20 mins - practise says longer!

Go to the masterplug website and call them, they'll send you everything you need via e-mail.

Try these simple trick to find out your remote control working or not....
Point the remote control towards the Camera of a Mobile Camera phone,with the camera on. While pressing remote, we can see a light (Infra Red) coming from its IR LED through the Mobile Camera if the Remote is working.
otherwise, the problem with the Remote sensor or related components of the TV.

Hi the codes for hitachi are 0074,0082,0081,0511,0201,0616,0234,0236,0255,0232,0554,0110,0537,0075,0594,0147,0216,0143,0550,0518 turn on tv, 1.press tv button on the remote 2. press setup button until it flashes twice enter code then turn off by power button (keep repeating 1-3 until tv goes off) hope this helps.
