Upgrade the firmwae if it is of old version...!!!
and give static ips to both in your network address range sio that each one can pass through gateway!!

That is most probably result of server host not working anymore, check Call of duty (for example 4, black ops....etc) _____(Platform, PS2,PS3,XBox,...) online status. If they are not working, for that time you wont be able to play it. As far as you have explained you have configured your console online, so its not problem with you :) Good luck my friend! :)) Thx for asking me.
And please rate my solution! :) Thx in advance .Alex
DO a power cycle on your router and try it after that.
Unplug the power supply on the back of your router wait 60 seconds and plug it back in.
Wait 30 seconds then try to connect from your PS3
After you have the Ethernet cable from your modem plugged into your PS3 press and hold the reset button on the back of the modem for about 5-10 seconds. This will reset the modem so that it will recognize the connect to your PS3. Once your done using your PS3 and reconnect the Ethernet cable back to your computer you will have to reset the modem again. Any time you move the Ethernet cable from one device to another you need to reset it after you have the cable connected to what ever device you want to get online with at that time. If you do not want to keep resetting your modem all the time a router will allow for you to have more then one device online at a time. The router will connect to your modem and then your devices will connect to your router.
Hi,
this is a connection problem between your PS3 and your router.
Try in order:
- switch of PS3. Unplug the router power cord, hold on one minute, plug router, switch on PS3
- most probably you have other devices connected to your local LAN, switch all of them off, restart the router, switch on PS3
Usually this is enough, if it doesn't work just ask and i'll get back to you with another, more complex, solution.
Regards
Peter

Unplug your modem and router. Plug in your modem first and wait for it to sync all the way back up and then plug your router back in. This should fix your problem.

Unplug your wireless router and your modem and after about 30 seconds plug them both back in. Wait about a minute for the devices to reinitialize and try to go back online.
check your modem and router and make sure everything is ok. if a light is blinking over "link" then reset the modem and unplug the router. wait for the modem to start up. "link" should be lit up now. plug the router back in. try to connect. if this doesnt work unplug your system when its in "standby" mode and plug it back in. other than that, just go to www.us.playstation.com/support.
