This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with
diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let
it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front
panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the
power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will
be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this
will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high
voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors
low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of
vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually
loss of vertical from the source)

Start with the obvious. Is your TV plugged in? If it is on a power strip, does the strip need reset? If all is normal there, then unplug the set and take the back off. Check your fuse to see if it is blown.
TV has gone into "protect mode" to do just that to protect against the damaging failure that has been detected, you will need a servicer to diagnose the failure. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
that is an old sob but if it is projection then check the power butten on the tv might be stuck in or the remote might be sticking or check the battery that is suposed to save the memery in the tv
ok when the power is plugged in hold down the menu + device buttens for five sec what is the error code there should be two sets of numbers.... like 1 pause 2 let me know and i'll see what i can do!
These flat panel tv's all have a problem with bad leaky capacitors. look for any capacitors ( round cylinder shape with a metal top) that have the top rounded over (bulged up) that part would be bad.
