Blurry picture I just got this tv from a friend. it was built in 2000. he replaced the front control panel board on it a while ago, but the picture is blurry. Words are really bad to try and read. is there some kind of adjustment for this?

you may have a dry joint on the screen controller board or a lose connection on to the screen. clean the board on the back of the screen. but take it out first and clean the copper parts on the screen cable.

tried first with re seating the lvds cable in the t-con board, the t-con board is mounted covered with metal shield. if can get with fixing the cable, then your t-con board has defective component parts.

The tv board that called a T-CON board it is dying to causes these problems.All the tv pictures dots pixel codes go through this board before it show up onto the tv LCD sreen panel.This tv T-CON decodering board sit in the midle at the bottom of the tv LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish T-CON board for the replacement.

Remove front bottm panel and behind it should be the Focus/Screen control block replace it.

static electricity can damage the chips on the boards. it all depends were the static voltage went to, if it was just to the buttons controller board or to the main av board. you could need new button board or you could need to replace the main board and the button board its hard to say with static shock.

Remove front bottom panel behind it is a small black control box top controls are focus controls for R/G/B and Bottom 3 controls are your screen drives adjust one at a time turn off G/B adjust red first,then Do Green and Blue fter adjusting focu to each tube leave them set then adjust screen drive turn color off adjust RGB for a Black and white picture get as close as you can then turn color back If after doing this you still have blurry looking picture look down into Tubes you should be able to see picture clearly in each one if you cannot see picture then projection Fluid need to be changed out. there is a focus control in the front of the set behind the front grill there is a door in the middle attached by screws take this off and it should be right behind it. There are six controls on a little box one row says focus and the other says screen don't adjust the screen controls. In some cases these are in the back of the set.

It really depends on your level of expertise. Usually this is technically a very involved repair

Did you replaced 2 IC convergence as well or just 2 resitors 3.9 ohms ? if you did replaced 2 IC then you might have probelm in convergence drive it is1 of the PCB mount vertical on the left side from the rear view under part BP95-00415C you need to readjust the convergence by using your remote control just follow in the servive manual
