There are a couple of things that you can check. FIRST go to the electrical box where the circuit breaker or fuse for the dryer is. Sometimes on half of the circuit breaker is tripped allowing the controls of the dryer to work, but not the heating element. Turn off the breaker and turn back on. Or replace the fusees. If this does not work, then you may have a loos wire or a burned out heating element. Sometimes there is a bad high temperature switch. Do the circuit breaker or fuse first. If the washer did not spin out the water well enough, the water can short the element to trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse.

When i set my drier to dry on high heat it keeps tripping the electric with error code f-13 please could you advise me on why this is thanks

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Indesit (Hotpoint, Ariston) 'F13's refer to 'thermistor circuit fault', 'dryer fan not working', 'dryer NTC (thermostat) fault' and other similar things! There CAN be problems with poor connectivity between cables and plugs/ sockets which could cause similar symptoms. It realy needs a service call to identify/cure, sorry ;-0(
If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hotpoint aquarious vented tumble dryer no longer heats up can you just replace the heating element

Yes you can, but I would test it first to make sure it is faulty, as quite often it is a thermostat prob.
Please rate my solution.

I have a heavy duty Hotpoint electric dryer and it doesn't not have heat anymore, will fluff clothes and goes through the cycle but there is no heat

This means that your heating element is no longer working, they are easy to replace if you have some basic handyman knowledge. If not I advise that you take it to an authorised service technician. I hope this helps.

Hotpoint Utima WD860

The error code F13 is indicating dryer thermistor open or short circuit.
This is located in the top of m/c, and it looks something like a thermostat wired in series with the element, if there is more than one, then it is advisable to replace both..
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
