Cubase se problems communicating to Casio keyboard LK45

I cannot get cubase3 SE to communicate to a Casio keyboard LK45
Can any one help?
The programme is loaded onto a laptop running XP.
Cubase can record through the mic on the laptop.

I aint much of a keyboard person but I'm assuming you'd probably have to plug it into a mic slot in the computer...if it doesnt play try the volume settings to see if the microphone is muted or anything... As long as the keyboard's got some form of amplification it should work... then again... Bill Gates does **** all right

Some softwares will not work on the newer computers such as Vista or Win 7. Check the documentation to see if that is the problem.

That is a common problem. The only solution I've seen work is to do one of 2 things.

1. reformat your machine and set it up with a dual operating system. with Vista and Xp.

Or.

2. Buy a used computer with XP already installed.

I don't believe your Bose speakers are digital, you need to change your audio settings on the output to analog speakers.

My casio lk-45 has no sound, but all the lights work. Could it be the adapter?

Yes it could be. Drop voltage adapter can cause power/pre-amp not work properly, but still can power up the lights.
There maybe power supply circuit failure inside LK45 and also power-amp problem.

try selecting each imput as mono instead of stereo,and then back to stereo,after a reeboot this worked for me andy hope this helps
