Question about Activision Video Game Consoles & Games

The game starts up fine but wen im playing it sais the disk cannot be read what do i do to fix it?

If the game starts find, but then it later says failed to read, then it's most likely a problem with the CD itself. Try giving it a good clean and trying again. If that doesn't work, get a CD resurfacer and run the disc through that once or twice, and then try it. Should work fine.

Now if it DOESN'T work, then it's the laser inside your console. Try getting a laser lens cleaner and running it through your xbox a few times. If this doesn't work, contact microsoft, because your laser might need to be fixed and/or replaced

well ya need more memory then and ya probably need to clean up a bit, do a disk cleanup check all boxes and run a defrag may have to do 2 time the defrag ok if doesn't fix it then comment back and will help you further ok good luck and have a nice day the fixist !!!

What kind of cables are you using? What are the colors of the cables?
Have you tried your friends AV cables?
How many more discs experiences this?

When i updated my PS3 for the new Call of Duty it stopped reading the disks. It worked fine b4 the upload but now it wont play any of d games i have. Whats d craic, how do i sort this

It might just be coincidence that your blu-ray drive has packed up at the same time as the update. Ring up Sony and tell them this and you could get a new console for free if your in the warranty.

Im going to assume the disk isnt dirty or damaged? It could be the lens, very common problem that the PS2 had. There are plenty of guides (video ones on websites like Youtube) that show you how to clean/fix it.

Hi my name is Juan and the problem you got is with the bluray laser lens they have stoped reading games you can check this out put a cd on your ps3 and at the same time place your ear on top cover and will heard 3 cliking noises of the laser but make no noise because this cliking noise is so fine that you need to make no noise i goes clik clik clik you will hear it but make sure you put your ear on top cover at the same time you insert the disk it takes about 3 -4 seconds for the cliking noise after you have inserd the cd some lasers they do try to read and they make the disk to spin off and on some they do make the disk to spin normally but nothing happend and the solution is to replace the laser lens I am a ebay thrusted power seller and I can get you one if you want to

i had the same problem with fallout 3 and then i updated my system with 2.52 and then the blue ray lense quit reading so now i can't load any Ps3 games.

yo dude i have the same problem as u like im playing cod4 wen i exit a match it freezes wen i play guitar hero 2 that also freezes while playing a song i think i know sum ways. its either were playin to much u need to buy 1 of those disks that clean inside the ps3 or any dvds its like a special disk it just goes inside and u play it and it takes like 5 min cuz none of my games have scratches

I have had a similar problem. I insert a game and it sais to insert it into a xbox 360 console.

This usually happens after I have been playing a dvd in the console.

Restarting console with game in it has been fixing issue.

Ps does not take disc's

try the disk on another console first m8 if that works the chances are you need to buy a new dvd rom for your unit the laser only have limited play time on theese consoles b4 they start to fail to read disk's all games systems are the same
