My printer is working, sounds fine but after one paper jam it's not printing out anything but a few light scratchy lines...cleaned the heads, checked for paper jam bits but nothing seems to be working. how long do these printers last?
Did the print out improve after your clean the head? If all fails, try this last method.. take out all the ink and switch on the printer, when the printer detected no ink, it will ask you to insert the ink cart. Put back the ink cart and let the printer do ink charging.. pls make sure there is ink in the cart else it will damage the head. After the ink charging, print a nozzle check and see if there is any improvement.

On the new cartridge, did you remember to remove the plastic seal from the toner? Do you get blank sheets only when you print or when you make copies too? Were you careful when clearing the paper jam or could you have accidentally damaged the printer?
My printer is constantly getting jammed, spitting out blank sheets of paper in between every printed sheet, clicking and snapping, etc.
There are a few places to check for a jam - pull the paper drawer out and check there, take the toner cartridge out and you'll often find a sheet there that you cannot see from any other angle, open the little compartment at the back and check there and the usual paper sticking out of the output just enough to pull it out the rest of the way.
Good luck!
I'll be looking for a new printer this week though. I can't take the constant paper jams and sifting out the blank sheets when I'm printing 500+ statements a month.
Definitely NOT an office friendly machine!
You are lucky you can print ANYTHING! My unit has NEVER worked (3 years) due to a hardware defect of HP. I downloaded patches, cleaned/replaced cartridges, etc. Spoke to HP last nite-Was told printer was junk-they don't carry it or any parts to fix it anymore!! I was told to replace it!
I had exactly the same problem, printer virtually new, printed great for a couple of weeks, then today refused to take paper with E3 flashing. No apparent blockage - all looked clean, tried all the utilities, roller cleaning and plate cleaning, but wouldn't take paper! Solved it by moving the paper size guide all the way to the left, then folding the top 20mm of a sheet of A4 over and loading it so fold is at the top facing you. This acts as a catcher for anything stuck in the printer. Hold the paper slightly crooked with the left side slightly further into the printer and press the copy button (with nothing in the scanner!). It should draw the paper in now (with some persuasion) and think it is printing (it's blank,of course). Check as the top of the sheet goes in that the fold is still tight and doesn't open up as it feeds in. Lo and behold, mine brought out a 5p piece - printer now prints perfectly!
