Hi,
A 5c00 error relates to the sensor in the purge unit, which is where the carriage stops on the right hand side of the printer. You may find that the ink has built up in the purge unit and it will need to be washed out in warm water. The sensor in the purge unit will need to be removed before washing the unit. Problem is getting the purge unit out is quite tricky.

Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

My printer has come up with a service error 5c00. What can i do to fix it?

The 5C00 code is for purge cam sensor error meaning an error occurred in the purge unit. You can remove the purge assembly and clean out all the ink covering the moving parts. You can clean it with isopropyl alcohol or just water. If no luck, replace the purge unit, will be around $30.

Ip90v error 5c00

That's a purge unit error, for some reason the purge unit is not cycling properly. That's the cleaning station on the right where the printhead parks. Check for any paper scraps in that area, if the printhead is stuck on the right and doesn't come out, you shouldn't force it, just take it to a shop before you cause more damage.

Canon pixma ip90 printer

if your printer is flashing 4 orange and then back to green repeatedly - i found a solution to it for my ip90v - i opened the printer and checked the right hand side cogs - carefully turn them and you may see that some stray paper jam debris is blocking the cleaning unit from returning to its home in the bottom front of the printer - carefully remove it and replace the casing - turn on and with any luck you will have a dully functioning ip90 like i did.

Hope it helps some others out
