To remove the top so that you can replace the electrodes, you just need to pull all the burner grates off and knobs. Then remove all the burner caps and rings off so that all you're left with is the cooktop and the burner bases. There are screws going into each burner base. Remove all the screws and the burner bases will pull up and off and then you can pull the top of the cooktop up and off.

Everytime someone says it is on the internet, then go to Customer Care, then manuals, it is never there, and never that easy! Please. There is a conversion kit to convert the range from natural gas to propane, it is possible that it was not installed or not installed at the time of purchase. There is a part in the regulator that has to be switched from one gas type to another as well as individual burner orafices that have to be changed. You should have the point of purchase service verify that this has been done correctly.
