LCD television (Magnavox 26MF231D/37) is turning on and off on its own, with picture going out in such a way that the images disappears then grey lines appear across screen and loud sounds come out of the audio. After this, the tv turns off.

    My exact Tv is doing the same thing. It gave us trouble for a while ... then after about 2 years would just show the green light and then never go on..



    I was told it is an ssb board.........$350 dollars to fix...........



    I think this part was defectively designed...........

    my magnavox 26mf231d/37 display menu stays on constantly. how do i fix this problem

    Ufon1 I have the cure for the problem im a technician since 1990 and i also have the same lcd.
    Is an easy fix no need to buy another board. The main board has a small but anoying problem which the set turns itself off.
    If you want the know how instructions emaill me and i will send you step by step and pictures as to what part it is and location on the board.
