The S210 doesn't charge via via the USB. In fact, connecting via the USB actually drains the battery faster. If you want to upload your pictures, you either have to charge the battery or take the memory card out of the camera and put it into a card reader connected to the computer.

When I put it on the charger it indicates that it is charging but when I take it off it won't turn on at all.

Hello! Does it turn on when you have the charger plugged in? If so, you have a dead battery. The laptop maybe indicate that battery is charging, but if she is dead, it won't give you enough power to turn on. Try that!

If it works with a charger on, you need to replace the battery. Need any more help?

Motorola cellular w376g, battery won't charge

If possible test with another charger like a car charger if you have one
also try removing the battery plug in the charger and put the battery back in (don't touch the contacts/gold pins)

if it works with other chargers then the charger is bad

if it doesn't work with other chargers charging port/battery/phone is bad

Hi I have a sony cyber shot digital camera model no.dsc-s950 and I would like to know if I need a what type of battery charger do I need to charge my battery, and where can I find one for cheap, also n

Here's one source for a compatible battery charger.
I can't tell whether your battery is compatible with your sister's charger since you neglected to specify the model of her camera.
You should be able to use any USB cord, but I suggest you don't. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you an use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Sony laptop dead problem

Could be many things. Let start with a couple of easy ones.1) Unplug charger from computer and outlet, take battery out press power for at least 30 sec. Plug every thing back power on. 2) charger bad won't turn on or charge battery, try diferent charger if don' know how to use a voltmeter. 3) power jack loose or broken. 4) last and worst mother board circuits transitors etc... btw processor, video card or input devices fried. Buy new board from ebay. Don,t fix it. Not worth it. This is Only if laptop gives completely sign of not turning at all. No lights, no hardrive or no working or fan. No signal of life. If couple of lights do turn on it can be the ram or video card, play with ram a bit. Good luck.

What usb cable do i need to recharge my camera and how do i upload photos onto my computer.

The DSC-W55 doesn't charge batteries via the USB port. It comes with a separate battery charger, which plugs into a wall outlet.
