Hello, you can fixed this by opening the back cover of the player. Use a dry cotton bud to clean the lens be very careful because it fragile. Also observe the red beam up of light on the lens when the player is power is on , if it does not beam,the problem could be the lens or the ribbon cable used to connect the lens to the printed circuit board. if any is found faulty replace for a new one for better effectiveness

I found that it is owned by Sampo and the listing for Sampo codes is 060 in the book I have. I used it to set up my DVD 300 and it worked....kind of. Not all of the buttons correlate with what I press, such as I press PLAY on the new remote and it fast forwards, but for the most part it works. hope this helps
