Dead screen my monitor turned off by itself and not showing anything,

you are required to check weather the thermal paste that is in between the cpu and the heat sink is functioning properly. it's function is based on how wet the thermal paste is .if its dry you need to replace it ..Also check the RAM for the purpose of the screen display

well, its a 2003 LDC 13 years old ,
its bad
the monitor itself of the power pack to it is bad.
you can test it on any PC< or laptop made
if its dead on all , then its dead.
what more needs saying,
older LCD monitors had old CCFL, lamps. that love to fail
newer are LED back lights that last for ever. it seems
so up grade?
seems your back light is dead

shine it at the dead screen see good data
yes, then the CCFL is DEAD< (or its power supply ,deep inside)
fixed may but would never do a 2003, not now.

Replace the monitor, is dead.

Possible dead LCD? try these
1.press the play button to see if you can view photos
2. press the "disp." button near the shutter
if these fail. send it back for warranty

Try hooking your computer up to a monitor, (or a different monitor if you have a desktop), and turn on the PC. If it still doesn't show anything, your video card may be dead.

why not try a dead display on 2 machines 2 PCs
using only 1 data cable at a time why try to confuse it????????

the OSD must work, or the display is bad or the power supply to it is dead.

the monitor has a tiny computer inside it (micro)
on mine, the data lines dead shows NO SIGNAL in the screen
every time you I power up my monitor with data cables pulled off.

best is to read the book for your monitor, and run all the tests it
tells you there,

if the power is on and the screen does not show up , try to hook an external monitor using the VGA cable. If the screen does show up, it means that the problem is in the laptop LCD monitor itself. Otherwise if the external monitor does not show up, that means your laptop does not boot anymore to the operating system. Try to turn off the power and remove the power cable and battery on the laptop. Then press and hold the power button for 8 secs. Then reinsert the battery and power cables on the laptop then turn on the laptop. If there is still no screen displayed then call Lenovo for repair of your laptop.

Could be a power issue. If it doesn't show anything at all then that may be the case. It may also be the display itself. It would be a costly repair so you might be better off finding a new monitor.

make sure the video card is securly placed in the pci-e slot

connect a monitor to it first, maybe your screen is dead if your money still doesn't show anything then u gonna need some memory
