Samsung SGH-a737 Cellular Phone Logo
Anonymous Posted on May 24, 2010

I need Tmobile MMS configurations for my unlocked ATT Samsung SGH-A797 for a novice. I have no T-Zones and cannot send/rec picture mail. Had I known this was an issue I probably would not have purchased an unlocked phone. When I try to use apps they say ATT server unavailable. Help!

    Greencells thanks for the reply I already tried that. TMobile says they don't have a code for this model. They suggested one of their models

The reason why you cant send or receive picture mail is because its an unlocked phone, i had that same problem you have to go to your service provider and they have to give you a code to enter otherwise you wont be able to get picture messages nor get online.

My unlocked for tmobile samsung flight ii will not send or recieve picture messages how do I fix this?

You need to configure internet and MMS settings on your phone to be able to send/receive multimedia messages.

Normally, the service provider sends these data as a SMS once you power on the device for the first time with the new sim card in it.

If you didn't received any, contact your service provider( in your case, it is T-Mobile ) and ask them to send the configuration settings or you may need to go to a T mobile service outlet.

I bought UK unlocked Samsung SGH U 600 T Mobile

T-Mobile USA and T-Mobile UK use different WAP and MMS settings - you will probably discover that t-zones doesn't work on the phone either.

The simplest thing to do is go to the T-Mobile USA site and use the OTA configurator to send the correct settings for WAP and MMS to your phone.

The link is here:

Need T-Mobile MMS Configurations for my LG Shine CU720

To have the t-zone to work and have MMS, do the following:

Menu->Settings->Connection-> Network Profiles then click "New"

Connection title:
T-Zones
Authentication:
PAP
Username:
* leave blank *
Password:
* leave blank *
APN:
epc.tmobile.com

then click save. This will allow the t-zone to work on your browser. Next, to set up your MMS settings, do the following:
Menu->Messaging->Message Settings->Multimedia Message->Message Center->Options->New

Name:
tmobile

MMSC URL:
http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc

MMSC Proxy:
216.155.174.050

MMSC Port:
8080

Connection Mode:
TCP without Proxy

then save it, and activate that profile. If all goes well, those should be the correct setting for tmobile tzone and mms on an unlocked AT&T CU720 Shine as of October 18, 2008

Samsung U600- WAP and MMS settings for T-Mobile

I have had a similar problem when I first got my unlocked phone. I have T-mobile as well, and once they find out you have a phone device not purchased by them, they are not very helpful - they will give you their default mms settings(same ones listed on their site). I tried those settings and they did not work on the particular unlocked phone I had. I did some extensive web searching and came across a few settings that worked with my phone. I will list them here. Hope they work for you!

*MMS Settings: Home URL - http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
*Protocol Type - WAP
*WAP IP Address - 216.155.165.50
*GPRS Access Point - wap.voicestream.com
*GPRS Username - Leave Blank
*GPRS Password - Leave Blank
*Authentication Type - normal

*T Zones - http://wap.myvoicestream.com
