I have a riccar 9900 electric sewing machine. I was told the machine used class 15 bobbins. When I bought plastic (could not find metal) class 15s from Joanns they did not fit my machine. what size bobbin does a riccar 9900 actually use?

I have a 9900 riccar, and I also have a bernina artista 180. The same bobbins and bobbin holder work in either machine. (Which explains why it was difficult to find bobbins off the shelf to fit the riccar.)

My bobbin in my Singer sewing machine 4522 case will not click back in. It is a Singer model 4522. It had been stored and unused for a while. I oiled it up and bought new Singer clear plastic bobbins.

Did you get Class 66 bobbins? See https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/singer-4522-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?index=19 . Singer sewing machines use a variety of different bobbins.

I hope this helps.

(I have an older Singer Touch N' Sew. Those bobbins are easy to spot. Newer machines can use Class 15, Class 15J or Class 66 bobbins, https://www.singer.com/sewing-resources/complete-bobbin-guide . Some machines can only use either the plastic or metal bobbins of a particular size. Others can use either metal or plastic bobbins.)

I have a baby lock espree embroidery machine that I haven’t used in a very very long time.. the bobbin is busted so I put in a new class 15 and I am immediately getting huge tangles and knots - I am afraid...

The bobbin for the BabyLock Espree EM1 and Espree II EM2 is the plastic Brother SA155 or 136492-001. You can also use the metal Brother 125701-001. A source for the plastic bobbins is https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbins-babylock-bernina-brother-riccar-136492-001.aspx . There are other reference numbers listed at the bottom of the page. You can use any regular sewing machine needle appropriate for the fabric and thread. Singer 2020, Schmetz 80x12, 90x14 or Janome 15x1 needles are among the compatible needles. See https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/babylock-em1-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?sort.ss_cat_sort=desc&index=140 for some of these needles.

I hope this helps.

My Riccar 9900 is sewing Loose stitches. How do you tighten up the stitches?

Here's the manual for your machine. Download and keep it because you will probably be needing more in the future.

What size are the bobbins for the memory craft 8000? I've compared the class 15 to my original bobbin but the class 15 has a ridge that my original doesn't have...the class 15J is more like the...

You need a bobbin like this:
10_10_2011_1_01_34_am.jpg
You can puchase them from this link
http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbins-janome-kenmore-elna-102261103.aspx

Janome have one standard plastic bobbin that fits almost all their models except
1600P, 1600P-DB, 1600P-DBX and MB4.
So if you see packets of plastic "Janome" bobbins for sale they will be the right ones.

What bobbins fit the singer featherweight 117

The Featherweight II 117 uses the Class 15 bobbin. A 4-pack of the Dritz equivalent of the bobbin is available from Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Dritz-Plastic-Class-15-Bobbins/dp/B000Y3D1NG . Singer has a 10-pack of the bobbins here: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/detail/2075/class-15-bobbins-10-pack . You can buy a manual from Singer, as well. (See their Instruction Manual page from the Customer Support Link then enter 117 in the Search box.)

I hope this helps.

Need part number for the bobbin on a singer model number 3962

I had been using class 66 but have had bobbin problems for 6 years. I was told a week ago that I should be using class 15 (but still having the same problems). Not sure if that helps or not.
