D61W20 RCA, Red Screen and then shuts down

Sounds like the Red CRT (tube) has shorted. You can test by removing the RED crt circuit from the end of the RED tube and making sure it isnt touching anything try powering up the set. If it comes on and doesnt shut down the red tube is the problem and will need to be replaced . expensive part to replace the Red XRT will be over 300 and at least 2-3 hundred to have it installed unless you know someone who can replace it for you.
