My Miele vacuum is about 20 years old and the room smells dusty after vacuuming. I have changed all filters. Is there a solution?

Hello. The problem you are having can be rectified with the new Miele FJM bags.

Also, if you have never taken your machine into a vacuum repair shop for an internal cleaning, please do so. J.

Miele Silver Moon Losing Suction Power

That is possible, also check for a.m. exhaust filter off the motor. Usually a very fine filter to stop dust that gets past the bag. May just need to open it up and clean out the accumulated debris.

Blowing dust out even after cleaning filter

the bagless containers of these vacuums do tend to hold a strong dust odor. the only way ive found to help eliminate it is with a product that i use called FreshWave odor neutralizing pearls. you never want to use fine dust carpet freshener or any product like that cause it will eventually burn up your motor. but if you are interested give me a call and i can ship you some of the freshwave. 703-724-1112

Your vacuum is still under warranty. Call Miele or the Miele dealer you bought it from. They are obligated to repair your vacuum.

Can you replace the cloth bag in a beam central that is about 20 years old, the vacumn sends a dusty smell though the house

It is not recommended to change that bag. The best thing to do would be to borrow a shop vac from someone and vacuum it off really good. The bags sell for about $60.00 and they are a big pain to change out. The other thing you can do to help the odor is look into exhausting the unit outside. All manufacturers recommend it.

Dust smell when running g4 kirby

The dusty smell coming from my G4 finally drove me to search out the problem. As it turned out, the fill tube had cracked near the top of the mini emptor (the boot) and dust and crumbs were escaping from the tube and into the cloth bag. I tried to repair the split with duct tape and electrical tape, but to no avail. I finally gave up and ordered a new fill tube online for about $8. This took care of the problem, and the machine works like new with no more dusty smell.

I buy loads of Hoovers and always same problem. When I Hoover its a dusty smell and it stays around bag not full and check filter the Hoover is ok f couple days then this happens.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover F5881-900 Vacuum. It sounds to me that if you have a clean bag and filter, it sounds like you have dust in the motor section and it needs to be cleaned and or take a good blower and blow out the dirt or you may have a clog or dirt build up in the suction line and that might be causing the dusty smell. Please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or call the Hoover factory and ask for tech support. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
