The Vtech phone has continued to flash on and off with no dial tone and no trouble shooting resolve in the manual. Doesn't matter if I unplug the power source or the jack or take out the battery for a few minutes or press the find handset button...nothing works to rest this phone. Very annoying. Please help me so I can use my phone again. Thanks a bunch!

SOURCE: Not Registered

I had the same problem and this procedure fixes it! First, unplug the power to the main base (answering machine) for 20 seconds. Plus it back in. Put the phone that says "not registered" in the main answering machine. It will say "press the find handset for 4 seconds". Do that. It will run thru a series of stuff and will find the handset. It works! Rich (jambones.com)

SOURCE: Problems with C110 & A110 Vtech Mirage Dect Home phones

Have strangely got the same problem - about the same time you posted this, but intermitently. I have isolated that the problem is in fact the handset itself, not the base unit. I eliminated a problem with the base unit by a) registering a different DECT phone to it. - The base still works fine. b) Leaving the handset switched off for an hour or so (press and hold the "OK" botton to switch off / on); then whislt it was working, registering the handset to a different base (Base 2). And guess what, after 30 mins the "BASE 2" message started flashing on the faulty handset.
So, if you already have an A110 extension handset, make sure it's also registered to base 1 and maybe try to get just the handset repaired via VTECH. (or just buy a new handset if they are available).

SOURCE: no dial tone

I would contact your phone provider. It could be a coinceidence that the dial tone stopped working.
DSL does not require dial tone to work.

When I dial out on my Vtech phone, it goes back to a dial tone or a busy signal

Are you sure that the phone is even trying to dial? Push 1 digit and make sure dial tone is going away. Could be bad dial pad.

My Vtech cs5121 cordless phone has no dial tone

Vtech phones are junk! I have had many trouble calls for no dial tone, only to find out the Vtech phone is the only one they have, and it is defective.(It really DOES pain me to bill someone 91 dollars to tell them their 21 dollar phone is broken-always try another(preferably hard-wired) phone before calling the phone company!

How to prgram the vtech 5.8 dial tone to touch tone

Since you declined to specify the model of your VTech 5.8GHz phone, I can only suggest that you enter it into the search box here to download a copy of the manual. The manual will describe how to switch between pulse and tone dialing.

The tel 1 and 2 buttons are flashing green along with stand by. The phone line has no dial tone and its busy when we call the line..

When the tel light blinks this indicates that the line is in use. To trouble shoot this issue you will need to connect a phone directly to the tel 1 port of your modem. If you have dial tone when directly connect that means that there is an issue with the internal wiring of the home. If you still do not have any dial tone with the phone directly connect than there is an issue with the modem and it needs to be replaced.

I hope that information above has helped is some way.

If I enter the phone number and then press "talk", the numbers dial extremely quickly, a dial tone comes on, and I have to enter the numbers again. How do I fix this? It is a Vtech 6.0 DECT.

Usually there are two modes provided to all fixed line telephones. Tone mode and pulse mode. Pulse mode will dial the call slowly and Tone mode will dial calls quickly. Your phone is in Tone mode i guess. You need not dial the numbers again. Wait for few seconds and the call will get accomplished!
