Everytime I switch e camcorder power switch to player or camera an C21 error message appears on the display its starts beeping and it ejects the 8mm cassette. What is the issue ?

Sony is pretty secretive about the :23 code. It can't be found anywhere. However, to service the C:31 code, Sony recommends you do the following:

1. Turn off the camcorder.
   
2. Remove the battery or disconnect the AC power adapter for 60 seconds.
   
3. Insert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter.
   
4. Turn on the camcorder.
   
5. If the error message appears, service may be required.
   

If your camcorder still shows the same error code, then you'll have to send in your camcorder for service.

The error code C31:23 denotes that the problem is in mechanism(which is misaligned) of loading section and it need mechanical adjustment by an expert. Contact any expert nearby and pay labor charges because no part is required to resolve this issue.

No knowing how old or condition of your equipment is ... its hard to suggest a solution. But the dew sensor of sony equipment tends to get dirty very quickly ... needs to be clean with a q-tip & alcohol every couple of years.

you can use head clener or reset option to avoid rejection

it is showing humidity error... keep camera in a dry open place for around one hour and check again

first u connect to computer via usb then format it ( try to format with camera first) then preset ur camera by menu option then ur camera will be ok

actually this error is related to s reel i.e, the supply reel of the camcorder and some time when we insert a new tape in camcorder it start giving the error because the amount of tension is more in new tapes as compared to the old ones (used one) . . try to use the old tape u would nt have any problem .

but with new tape u will have these kinds of problem some times , to solve this problem for new tape u need to take the camcorder to near by service center of sony .nd they will align the tape path of your camcorder .

C21:00 means Condensation(dew).remove battery (dc cord) from camera. try to start your camera after 1 or 2hour .if problem not solve contact nearest expert

For Models: CC6254, CC6364, CC6374, CC6384, CC6394, CC9360, CC9370, CC9373 There may be a simple solution. Do the following: * Turn your camcorder's power off, then disconnect the power source (battery or AC adapter). * Remove the clock battery, if equipped with one. * Wait a few minutes, then reinstall the clock battery. Reconnect or install the power source — battery or AC. * Then try turning on the power again.
