I have a robinair 15100 vacuum pump... oil is clean and at the proper level... when initially turned on it will run for about 20 secs then shut off automatically and about another 30 secs later it will come back on but only for a few seconds this time... it also seems to be a little hotter than normal... what could be causing this??

ROBINAIR ACR2000 INSUFFICIENT VACUUM

There are a few possible reasons why your Robinair ACR2000 might be displaying the insufficient vacuum message and not allowing you to charge. The vacuum pump may not be working properly. Make sure that the vacuum pump is plugged in and turned on. You can also try cleaning the vacuum pump filter. There may be a leak in the vacuum hose. Check the vacuum hose for any cracks or holes. If you find a leak, you will need to replace the vacuum hose. The refrigerant may be contaminated. Contaminated refrigerant can prevent the vacuum pump from reaching a deep enough vacuum. If you suspect that the refrigerant is contaminated, you will need to have it replaced. The ACR2000 may be defective. If you have tried all of the above and the problem persists, the ACR2000 may be defective. In this case, you will need to contact Robinair customer service for assistance. Here are some tips to prevent the insufficient vacuum message from appearing: Make sure that the vacuum pump is working properly. Inspect the vacuum hose regularly for leaks. Use only high-quality refrigerant. Operate the ACR2000 according to the manufacturer's instructions. By following these tips, you can help to prevent the insufficient vacuum message from appearing and keep your ACR2000 working properly.

Robinair Cool Tech 34700Z refrigerant recovery/recycle machine losing Freon during vacuum cycle

The Robinair Cool Tech 34700Z refrigerant recovery/recycle machine is designed to recover and recycle refrigerant from air conditioning and refrigeration systems. If the machine is losing refrigerant during the vacuum cycle, it could be caused by a few different issues. Here are a few possibilities:
  1. Leaks in the hoses or fittings: The hoses and fittings on the machine may be leaking refrigerant, causing it to lose pressure during the vacuum cycle. Check for any visible leaks and replace or repair any damaged or worn hoses or fittings.
  2. Leaks in the machine: The machine itself may be leaking refrigerant. Check for any visible leaks and replace or repair any damaged or worn parts.
  3. Incorrectly set vacuum pressure: The vacuum pressure may be set too high, causing the machine to lose refrigerant during the vacuum cycle. Consult the manual and make sure the pressure is set correctly.
  4. Clogged filters: The filters in the machine may be clogged, preventing it from holding a vacuum and causing it to lose refrigerant during the vacuum cycle. Clean or replace the filters.
  5. Incorrect vacuum pump oil level: The vacuum pump oil level may be too low, preventing the pump from creating a strong enough vacuum to hold refrigerant. Check and add vacuum pump oil as needed.
It's best to consult the manual or a professional technician for help. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate course of action. It's important to note that not addressing this issue can cause further damage to the machine, so it's best to have it repaired as soon as possible.

We have a robinair cooltech 34700z, looking for directions to change pump oil, can anyone help? thanks

For change vacuum pump oil follow the bellow step: Press main menu then keep pressing up or down arrow key till display show "CHANGE VACUUM OIL" then press "YES" key. Now vacuum pump will run for two minute & stop automatically. When pump stop you just open the oil drain cap and drain all used oil from pump (oil drain cap located outside of the machine near high & low side hose). After draining all used oil replace oil drain cap and fill 5 ounce new ROBINAIR vacuum pump oil then press "YES" key and keep filling oil up to middle of sight glass of vacuum pump. Press "STOP" key to complete the process.

NOTE: Do not over fill the pump & do not use any COMPRESSOR oil on the vacuum pump!
Hope this will help you & if it is please vote for my support
