F2 40 error code on Sharp 5516s copier

Enter # interrupt and c interrupt
enter 42 start and 01 start ...

can be the main motor locked if its l4-01 but if its l4-31 its fusing fan locked detected or l4-35 its PS fan locked detected

i hope its L4.If it is showing
L4 it means the main motor is locked(failing to move) Check all the moving parts including the drum unit, developer unit, main drive unit and fuser unit if they are moving freely. If they are moving freely change the main motor

Main motor lock,

Main-motor is unable to turn or has too much resistance, mlean main drive , and replace worn gears , if problem persists , check resistance on fuser-unit / developer-unit / OPC-unit

this error means:
heat roller abnormally low temperature.
for check:
1- check the heater lamp
2- check the thermistor
for reset:
clear key --> interrupt key --> "0" key --> interrupt key --> 14 --> start key

F2 fault code

fuser problem /enter simulation # 14

toner type error

replace the toner cartridge

During installation , use sharp ar205 developer and sharp ar021 toner cartridge. This shows you did not use developer or used the wrong ones, good luck.

on this code you may have to clean out the developing unit and start with fresh developer. Make sure the developer unit is not leaking from one of the bearings. You may need a tech for this one...
