My laptop won't charge

I have a Toshiba satelite M300 laptop, and in the past 2 days it is hard to charge the battery. I will have to adjust the cord that is connected to the laptop in order for it to charge. I will have to be really careful to move my laptop because if not, then it won't charge. So I wonder if it's the battery that has a problem or the cord?? I have the laptop for almost 2 years. what should I do?

Like I have to wiggle the cord, or put it in a certain position in order for it to charge.

my toshiba m300 is two years old and this same issue happened to me yesterday. could you please let me know if the toshiba people were able to assist you. if so what was the solution?

What do u mean by "adjust the cord" ? If u have to adjust by twisting the jack in the power input port then it is neither the fault of the cord nor the of the battery but may be the fault of the power input port.
Go to Toshiba service center and they will solv the prob.

Seems like some sort of loose connection...........
not a prob with ur battery or power cord. Go to a service center

My hp pavillion laptop will not charge my battery . It won't even work without the battery but plugged in with power supply even though i know battery and power supply are sound.

It won't ever be a 'software' issue....it will be either a :

Adapter/Charger issue (Have it tested by local PC repair shop.)
if it is good, then it is the other prob. If it is not good, then buy a new one.

OR

Laptop power connector issue. (expensive repair.)

Batteries only have a useful life then they have to be replaced. If it is not charging then it is bad. Otherwise if your power cord was bad, it would not charge the battery and then you wouldn't be able to power on the laptop.

I have a laptop of Toshiba(model name -M300).I have no sound after formatting my laptop and I also don't have motherboard CD. So I want to download sound driver for my laptop to get back sound again.

go to toshiba's website and type in your model number under support/ drivers and you will find ALL the drivers you need :)

Toshiba Satellite M300 won't detect power when running, will only detect it and charge battery when turned off.

If there is no problem with the battery(does it hold a full charge?) or power cabling (unnatural bunching inside the plastic sheath, frayed wires etc), then the power adapter is not providing enough current to run and charge your laptop battery at the same time. This would suggest a hardware issue with your power adapter, consider replacing it.

Toshiba satelite A105 plugged in. No battery charging light

I suspect the system board. The slight ticking noise you hear would be the processor trying to start the hard drive but no being able to. Could be a hard drive failure but I very much doubt it
