Yes there is a button on the remote you would need to get to the input. I recommend purchasing the remote. Cheapest I found is at this link:

I want to know how to swich the tv to wach dvd player? the remote works with the tv but how can i swich to wach a movie....i dont want to set up the remote to the dvd...

Sounds like you need to change the input channel of your TV with your TV remote. Look for an Input or Video Source button. Once you've found it, insert a DVD then cycle through the inputs with that button until you see something on the screen. As always this could be undermined by incorrect connections to and from and the DVD player. Double check these as always!

Whar channel should be on to play a DVD?

It depends on which input you have the DVD plugged into. The pictures below show the different inputs. One of those should match what you see on the back of your DVD. If you don't know which, you can turn on your DVD player and hit the INPUTS button shown on the picture of the remote control shown below. Or, if it's connected to one of the inputs pointed to by the DIRECT SELECT arrow on the picture of the remote control, you can go there directly from watching the TV. phillip_d971_1.jpgphillip_d971_2.jpg

How do you get to the auxillary channels or the channel where the DVD player or video games would go? I have a DVD player hooked up to the TV, but it only goes from channels 2-69 with no auxillary/video...

Do you have the original remote? If you do, you need to press the input button (on the left below 7 and above the DVD controls). The external device must be on before you scroll through the available inputs. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the OnScreen Menu has an option to toggle the Input (since there is a Menu button on the TV it would work around the issue).

A substitute remote that should access all of the TV features including the Input is available here: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&smodel=32V420T&brand_pn=RCA_32V420T&mode=large&uuid=12787350637590

I hope this helps.

Auxillary channel for dvd

You need to determine what output options your DVD player has. Take a look at the rear of the player. It will certainly have RCA jacks for video and audio outputs (yellow for video, red and white for right and left channel audio). It may also have RCA jacks for component video (marked Y, Pb and Pr). Finally, it may have a threaded connector marked "out to TV" or "antenna out" or something similar. This is called RF output.

Most players today don't offer RF output because nearly every TV has direct AV inputs available. If your DVD player has RF output, connect the output connector to the TVs antenna input. You need a coaxial cable with F-connectors on the ends. One may have been supplied with the player. RF output is on channel 3 or 4, set by a switch on the back of the player or by its on-screen setup. Just set the TV to that channel to watch a DVD.

If your player doesn't have RF output, you connect it to the TV using the AV jacks. You need cables with RCA plugs to to connect the video and audio from the player to the TV. Then you switch the TV to its video input to watch the DVD.

This is where you might run into problems. Many TVs need the original remote control to switch inputs. (Some older RCA sets used channels 90, 91 and 92 to switch to their video inputs so any remote would work, but these sets were made before 125-channel tuning became standard. If your set is one of those models, those are the auxiliary channels you heard about.) If you can't switch the set to video input with front panel buttons and you don't have the right remote, you're not completely out of luck.

If you can't use your set's AV inputs or it just doesn't have any, you need an RF converter. These cost around $15. They take the audio and video from the DVD player and convert it to channel 3 or 4. Then you hook that output to your TV as described above.

RCA F25645 25in TV.

I have this same TV. The DVD player is either hooked up to the video or s-video input. Go to the Menu (either through the remote or from the front of the TV) and select the Setup option. Go to the part where it asks if you want to use a DVD player. Select yes. Then select Video Input. Exit the Setup. When you hit the DVD button, it will switch to the Video input. The second step is to go into the Menu and select Channel, then go to Video Input Source. From there, select which input you are using for your DVD player, the S-Video or the standard Video (yellow composite cable).

DVP334V cant connect to my LCD TV

  1. Connect the video cable to the players VIDEO (CVBS) OUT (yellow) jack and to the TV's VIDEO IN jack.
  2. Connect the audio cable to the players 'AUDIO LEFT' (white) and 'RIGHT' (red) output and the TV's 'AUDIO LEFT/RIGHT' input jacks.
  3. After it is hooked up, you will need to select the TV’s video input channel that corresponds to the jacks connecting the player to the TV.
    • Press STANDBY-ON to turn on the player.
    • Turn ON the TV.
Note: Video Input selection varies for different brands/models of TVs. Consult the user manual or manufacturer or your TV if none of the below is successful.
      • Press channel 2 on your TV. Then press the channel down button to locate the video input channel. (This channel is usually located between the lowest and highest TV channels.)
        OR
      • For some TVs, there may be a button on the TV’s remote control that accesses the video input channel labeled SOURCE, AV or SELECT.
        OR
      • Select the Video Input Channel from the TV’s on-screen menu system.

Channel

You should have an input or source button on your tv remote control. Turn on your dvd player and press this button ( changing source from tv/cable to whichever video input your dvd player is plugged into ) until you get the dvd picture.
