SOURCE: Sub Wiring

if you wire the subs in parallel you would achieve 2 ohms which would theritically double your rms, sadly this isn't the case what with wire resistance and such you might get around 270 rms still not that bad. to wire in parellel you run a positive off the amp to the positive on one sub then run a wire from the first subs negative to the second subs positive the run from the second subs negative to the amps negative and bam 2 ohms but be warned this will put more stress on your amp and cause it to heat up faster. peace bro and best of luck

A FRIEND OF MY GAVE ME A OLD PHOENIX GOLD QX180.2 AMP IM NOT SURE WHICH IS THE THE POWER OR THE GROUND OR WHICH ONE IS THE BLUE WIRE GO THE ONLY THING THAT I SEE IS B- R B+ SO I GUESS THE RED WIRE IS R ...

I'm not familiar with that amp, but normally the power and ground terminals are larger than the rest. Are B- and B+ a lot bigger than the other terminals? It seems to me that power should be B+, Ground should be B- (although usually they are labled something like +12V and -12V or +12V and GND) and the R is probably for the remote wire (small blue wire that runs to head unit)

I have a Phoenix Gold Octane Amp and 10d subwoofers. My friend took it out last week, and I want to put it back it, but I can't figure out where the power and ground wires go and where the speaker wire...

Ok, when you look at the amp, the power + and ground - will be on one side of the amp with another smaller opening in between them. That opening is for your remote wire from your radio. Without that, your amp will not receive the input voltage to signal it to turn on. The speakers will go into the remaining open holes. Your RCA wires will be on the opposite end of the amp.
