We have a VReader and the touch screen doesn't

Try calibrating the touch screen (means of doing this can be found in the user manual). If, after calibrating the screen the touch screen is no longer responsive, I'm afraid that the screen is "ka-put" and will require a repair or replacement.

Touch problem

Hello,

Nokia designed the N97 with a touch-screen calibration program to remedy problems with the touch screen. Opening the touch-screen calibration program requires you to use the touch screen, which can prove difficult. You're forced to judge where to tap the screen because the screen isn't recording the precise location of your taps. To find the touch-screen calibration program, open the main menu, select "Settings" and then "Touch Input." The program provides on-screen instructions to help you finish calibrating the screen.

What does calibrating a ipad mean

Whoever used the term "calibrating an iPad" may have been referring to touch screen calibration.

Some touch screens need to be adjusted, or "calibrated", or the device may act as if you touched a different spot on the screen than you did. The iPad screen does not need to be calibrated.
If the iPad make a mistake about what spot you touched, the error may be due to:
  • a defect or damage;
  • a screen protector;
  • a cold finger;
  • a hand that is holding the iPad and inadvertently touching the screen;
  • a finger that is inadvertently touching the screen.

HI MY MAGALLAN 1400 TOUCH SCREEN NOT FUNCTION HELP

If your touch screen does not function, do not panic, it is a minor problem, The solution the the problem is for you to either reset your gps device or you calibrate the screen. To reset the gps device,
  1. Turn it off and on,
  2. Then hold down the power button for about 15 seconds,
  3. It will restart itself automatically,
  4. Then the screen should be working now.
But if the screen does not still work, then you calibrate the screen. Calibrating the screen will do the job. But note, you need to calibrate repeatedly till the screen works.If calibrating repeatedly does not do the job, then you ave to seek a technician because it is no longer a software problem but a hardware problem.

Calibrating posiflex jiva 5800

There should be a calibrate program in your posiflex. If it still doesn't want to calibrate, check whether the touch screen glass is worn out / cracked since you might need touch screen replacement

Calibration of my MobilePro off

We've put together some useful tips on calibrating your MobilePro * When calibrating your touch screen be sure to use the same amount of pressure that you apply during normal use. In general, the lighter the better. This allows the screen to recognize taps consistently. * When calibrating your touch screen hold the stylus over the calibration point until it moves to the next point. Holding it for this period will lead to greater accuracy than just tapping the spot quickly. * When calibrating your touch screen support the screen from the back with your other hand. Try not to grasp the screen from the side with your thumb on the front. * When calibrating your touch screen do not let anything other that the stylus accidentally touch the screen. For example, don't rest part of your hand on the screen to help steady the stylus. * Once you've completed the stylus calibration, be sure to perform the double tap calibration as well. This will ensure greater accuracy.
