It appears that the glowing logo from the back is pushing itself through the LCD that's the only thing I think it could be. Have you ever had any work done on it or taken it apart yourself?

You definitely should return it. The "pinkish tint" you describe suggests that it's more than just a dent; there is also damage to the display screen, probably caused by the same whack that made the dent.
I would take it to your apple dealer, they will run a diagnostic on it and tell you whats going on. please vote 4 thumbs up for my help . if you need anything else just ask

Do note, that you should have some experience in repairin laptops/electronic as this is not a easy opperation to do by you self, but its not imposible :)

Your yellow tint issue can be from two different things. One, it can be a setting on the projector itself. Two, or can be the screen you're projecting your image onto. Your projection screen needs to be very white to get good results.
