Samsung nv3 sd 'card error ! ' message

I have successfully used a Transcend 1gb card in my camera for a short while. I went to use the camera today and when turned on I got an error message on screen ' card arror ! '. Have tried turning off then removing card and battery then reinstall and turn on but same message. Card is usable on my PC so appears to be ok. Camera works fine without the memory card from the resident memory.

??? answers??... thanks in advance

I have exactly the same problem. SD card works in other cameras, in my pc however it reads 'card error' when put in the NV3. I have used it previously without problem in the camera so am unsure what's happening.

The camera freezes when it's inserted so does not allow me to move within the menu functions or try any solutions.

    Thanks for all help suggested!

I've had my camera for several months now and it worked fine up until a week ago. When I put my memory card in it says memory full. But there is no images on my card. I double checked. So today I bought a new card thinking it was the other card. It does the same thing. The inter. memory still works fine. I even tried to format, but it doesn't work. Can anyone help. Thanks!

    Hello,

It's strange but my camera does exactly the opposite.

It works fine with a card but when I turn it on without a card
the screen freezes and it's impossible to turn it off. It will only
work if I unplug and replug the battery and then put the card back
    in its slot.

Maybe you've heard of this before ?

Does anyone happen to know how to reset the resident system
    in this camera.

P.S. I do not have the warranty any more.

    THANX

Samsung NV3 Camera. No file, what do I do?

This is a very cryptic, non specific, vague question. Google seems to think that you are trying to say in the least amount of words that there are no files on your SD Card??

https://www.google.com/search?q=Samsung+NV3+camera+no+file

This usually happens if you are using a modern SD Card that is FAR too big for the camera specs, OR you didn't format the card within the camera.

The Maximum capacity you can use is 2GB

Your Samsung NV3 Digital Camera is compatible with 2GB Micro SD memory cards. Maximum Memory Capacity: 2GB
Cable Type Compatibility: USB
Memory Card Compatibility: Micro SD

New 4GB SDHC mamory card will not work in my Samsung NV3 camera - I get a memory full message. I have formatted the card and erased internal memory with the card out of the camera and still no joy - any...

Sorry, but your older camera can only use 2GB or less standard SD cards. Fortunately, these are relatively inexpensive these days, and may be found on Amazon, if your local store no longer carries them.

Sdhc card used in samsung nv3 it says memory full

I don't think that camera (the Samsung NV3) takes SDHC cards. The same is true of many (perhaps most) cameras that were released more than a year or two ago.

You need to use a regular SD card, which -- as you probably know -- isn't any bigger than 2G.

Card error

Hi!

I wish what I'll be saying will resolve the problem. Unfortunately, your camera can only support up to 1GB of SD card. That's the reason why the 4GB card is not working.

Here's a screenshot of the details regarding your Polaroid camera.

I hope that helps.

Good luck and have a nice day!

Memory card Samsung Nv3

This is a common problem and I had the same issue. Samsung only guarantees that a 1GB external memory card will work. If you look at the user manual on page 77. I just used a 1GB memory card instead and it worked fine.
I am not saying that no memory cards greater than 1GB will work but I would try to find someone that has used the brand and size and knows that it will work.

SD cards

Do the 4GB Cards say SDHC on them? They should. SDHC is simply "Secure Digital High Capacity". They're high capacity SD cards that hold more than regular cards. In this case, 4GB. The problem with these is that they need to be supported by the device. I've never put an SDHC card into a device that doesn't support them, but it looks like that's what your situation is. The highest memory capacity a non-SDHC compliant device is capable of 2GB. I recommend that you return the 4GB cards and buy 2GB cards instead.

MEMORY FULL

How many photos or videos do you have on the camera already? It probably won't store more than about 4 shots.

SD Card Wont Work

Check if the SD card is iserted properly into the camera, eventually pull it out and push it back inside the camera. Also remove camera batteries , repeat the operation, and put back batteries.
If the card still does not work test the card into a different device, it is not unfrequent that an SD card comes defective from factory. In this case take the card back to the retailer and a have it changed.
If the card works on a different device, then it may be that the NV3 does not support 4 GB , there is no mention about max SD format supported in camera specs, or in the manual. In this case I suggest testing a 1 or 2 Gb card at the shop, and then buying right one.

'Check SD Card' message

Looking at the manual Samsung only guarantee support for cards up to 1GB so I guess your new card won't work in this camera. Perhaps you can take the card & camera to your supplier and try other manufacturer's cards or just lower capacity.
