The sound from my monitor is very very low. How do I correct this?

unfortunately no the whole walkman has to be replaced

have you tried changing the sounds on your computer if there on 100% then try goig to the menu on your moniter to see if the volume is on 100% if there both are seems like the speakers are broke

Right-click on your desktop. You are not going to look for a "monitor" but you're going to be looking for "display properties."
So, after you right click on the desktop, click on the properties and it should show you the resolution in the lower left of the window (assuming you're using XP) Vista and Windows 7 use "personalize"\."
Anyway, assuming the correct video drivers are installed, you can change the resolution within those menu items.

Silly Question. Moitor does have speakers, it has happened in the past!

Ok! you have speackers. Go to control panel click sound icon (Speaker).
Tab sound, choose exit to test, click square button you should hear sound, remembering too insert jack plug in the correct hole rear of your poota(Usually GREEN)

The 1907 does not amplify your sound it will let you control the volume to some degree but not boost the incoming sound.

If you had amplified speakers b4 your sound card requires amplified speakers.

Best two options i can give is.

1. If it is a desktop you can install a amplified sound card. Hook to monitor speaker.
   
2. Unplug monitor speaker &use amplified speakers.

Just so you know laptops use internal amplified speakers. If you decide to install sound card make sure it is an amplified card.

I was afraid of that. The speaker system is only half in the monitor the other part(Amplifier section) was in your old computer. Here is a possible solution. Buy an external sound /speaker system. The amplifier comes with it and many can be had at a reasonable cost at **** places as  Walmart , target ,etc. Sorry. but the speakers on  your monitor, I believe ,  will not work with you new computer. Sorry. 

This may sound silly, but please verify that the tape monitor switch in not engaged. The TST mode bypasses that section of the receiver. This is the most common cause. Since the TST signal is the correct volume, the output amp section is working correctly. One other possibility is the tone circuit having a problem, but lets verify the simple stuff first. I'll look up the tnoe circuit section in the meantime. Please update this when you can with your results.

I believe it is a driver problem for your monitor. im having a similar problem.i need to find the correct drivers and not the default vista has for the monitor.

1 check whether to the correct socket jack.
2 check cable continuity.
3 vol too low setup at the cpu
