    same. Netgear WG111T worked fine until a password was put on. At the same time a virus had to be gotten rid of.

    I have the same problem. I downloaded latest driver and installed it. It worked for about an hour and then quit. I have tried this with different routers and different PC's. Do I use the software or not use the software. The instructions for installation are simple and offer no help in troubleshooting. From what I understand a lot of people are frustrated with this also, for those who can get it to work they like it and I will have to say that when it works, its great. Its just trying to get it to work that is the pain.

Ususally when you have two different brand products, they seem not to work too well. Also, those type of adapters generally get bed reception.

My wirless dissapear all the flasshing exept wirless line

Try RESETTING the Netgear back to the default setting and then configure it again.
To RESET the Netgear, power up the Netgear then press andhold the RESET button at the back of the router until all the LEDs flash. Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on yourcomputer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = password You can now change the admin password and configure thewireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

If this does not work then the Netgear routy is faulty, then you need a new wireless router.

IT SEEMS LIKE OTHER PEOPLE IS STILLING MY WIRELESS. TELL ME HOW TO BLOCK IT

Use WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK. WEP security is not secure at all. Change your SSID to something you recognize. The default is NETGEAR. everyone who buys a router may have this name. MAKE it your own SSID NAME

check in the DHCP client list to see if only your pc's are attached. I am sending a user manual link to get you started.

This is a tutorial for the netgear router in general to make a secure network for wireless.

Netgear wirless - installed on toshiba satellite a45 - S151 will not connect to internet router = comcast - linksys also causes conflict with connection of other wireless computer

Presumably, you have configured your wireless router:
* SSID (your "network name")
* encryption-level ('WPA' or higher security)
* password for your network

With that information, any wireless device (iPod Touch, iPhone, NetGear wireless adapter) should be able to connect to your wireless router.

> conflict with connection

Exactly what error-message are you getting?

Problems with WiFi netgear WNDA3100

the drivers should be installed in windows 7 by default, their so called "smart wizard" has some compatibility issues with windows 7, I get it to load up and it will shut down or glitch out. What I did was uninstall the downloaded driver and use the default windows drivers, flipped the switch off to my built in G wifi adapter and the netgear automatically kicked in and took over as the default wireless adapter.

Netgear wg111t

There are several problems reported that may cause disconnection. First is the hiding of the SSID (wireless1.gif network1.gif name) and enabling WEP or WPA encryption. The recommended solution for that is to unhide the SSID in the router configuration.

Second is that there are more and more wireless devices and occasionally interference occurs on a single channel (even from non computer devices like wireless phones1.gif. As routers are often set to channel 6 you may be competing for radio communications1.gif with your neighbors. The recommendation is to switch the router to either channel 1 or 11. If your first choice does not work try the other.

Also watch out for wireless phones base stations too close to routers.

NetGear Wireless Router and NewGear WG111 Adapter

I imagine you bought the WG111 Kit. It could but throught the Router and/or the adapter. Uninstall all netgear software and drivers. Unplug the adapter. Reboot machine. Plug the adapter in and install the software drives. Basically your starting over. This will take the quess work out of trying to repair what was lost. After reinstalling go to this web page to configure the SSID,IP and adapter. http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/N101179.asp
