The unit won't power up: when plugged in to power the red standby light comes on after about 20 minutes!

They are common with flat screen. It's the capacitor that needs changing. What happens is the power goes to the capacitor and when the capacitors are worn out, they bulge and won't send power to the tv starter. You can open your tv up and play with it. You will see bulging capacitors and they will look like burnt. You can get a soldering iron and melt the lead, change the capacitor by bringing it to Radio Shack and buy the exact one(just show them the ones you took out). Solder the new ones, just remember not to have the pins touch each other. Plug it and see it it works. Otherwise, just buy a new tv since having it serviced with no warranty is more expensive than getting a new one.

More specific, please ! Finally, did you replaced all bad capacitors or only replaced the power supply unit ? Because there are many other capacitors on other places that can be damaged.
Sure, the problem seems to be from one of the capacitors, but you have to know how to find the damaged one (and with the proper instrument will be more easy). Howewer, to buy a good instrument is more expensive than to service your TV set (my opinion). Plus guaranty.

Red LED blinking after turn on the TV

These blinking codes are fault indications. By counting these, you can understand the location of the faulty section inside it. But, counting these blinks too is somewhat difficult to a user who is not aware in electronics. Check this link, and see how to count the standby light blinking codes to Philips brand TVs. Details are described there in detail.

Blinking red led light when I plug in the tv then it turns right

Phillips purchases the main circuit board from Samsung, and it has a problem with capacitors failing. The failed capacitors can be easily identified as the top will no longer be flat, but will have bulged up.
If you have a local TV repair shop they can help you.

DVD stuck inside, player won't turn on, standby light does NOT flash

test the capacitor with a meter to make sure it has the value stated on it.
the work on this unit is quickly exceeding its present value, most likely.
consider upgrading to a higher resolution unit if the fix is more expensive in parts and time than a new unit costs.
good luck
