Canon T70 35mm SLR Camera Logo
Anonymous Posted on May 21, 2010

Have a canon T70 camera I picked up off ebay. Loaded it with film and took a pic of my daughter. Aftrer i shoot the pic the camera did not rewind to the next frame i noticed the shutter locked up about half way. I hit the timer button and snapped the next pic and t70 went to the next picture. It did this 3 or 4 times thru out the roll of 24 pictures. Took them in only 3 turned out but they where 3/4 picture and the rest was black on the image. Today i opened the back of the camera to load another roll of film and noticed the shutter curtin had one of the curtin flaps up a little. I gentilly put it back in place. Could that been part of or all the exsposer problems in the film developing. Thanks! Terry

Completely. The shutter is badly damaged and I'll be very surprised if your fix has permanently cured it, but fingers crossed... If not, there's only one fix. Chuck the camera away (spare shutter assemblies are nearly as rare as hens' teeth/fresh **** ****) and replace it. There are loads of T-series bodies and later Canon EOS triple digit/Rebel models available for free just by asking on FreeCycle and Freegle. Note that the lens mount used on the T-series is different to the Canon Autofocus mount used on later models. Also plenty of all the other makes as well. You may have to wait and to ask a few times, but it's where I still get the majority of my 35mm film camera equipment.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the quick reply! Im going to try one more roll of film the first 5 pictures worked fine at least the camera worked and sounded good. I will see what happens when i have this roll developed. With that shutter curtin back in place like it should be. Thanks again!! Terry "

Camera beeps and won't advance film

Scott, Not too hard, but give it a sharp rap on a counter top, this will some time free up stuck mechanisms in cameras.

Film rewinds when loaded

Align film leader at mark, then close the camera back for prewind loading. Film rewinds as each shot is exposed. Built-in motor for automatic winding/rewinding. Film advance: Automatic. Single-frame and continuous (1 fps). Automatically rewinds film leader into cartridge when designated number of frames have been exposed (midroll rewind available).

The film won't re-wind in my Canon T70. Can I do this manually?

No. If it will not auto rewind you must in a change bag or completely dark closet open the camera remove the cartridge then manually rewind the film. All that in complete darkness. Then get the camera fixed.

I NEED A CANON COMMAND BACK 70. WHERE CAN I BUY SUCH A CAMERA COVER FOR MY SLR CANON T70 35MM SLR CAMERA

Canon has not sold those for quite a while. Your best bet is to go to Ebay, Film cameras, film camera body acessories, type in Canon Command back 70 and wait until one shows up.
If you save the search, you get an email everytime one comes up. Good luck.

I may have loaded film roll that has already been taken?

Usually when you finish exposing a roll of film, you rewind it until you are sure it is all wound into the cassette. There is a change in the sound as the end of the roll leaves the camera. An exposed roll would have no film sticking out of the cassette. A new unexposed roll will have a bit of film sticking out of the cassette to pull across the ack to the take up roll.

Rewinding the film

The film will not rewind on its own. If you turn the camera over you will see a small slide switch with a small button next to it. Push the button in and slide the switch at the same time, the film should then rewind. Also the camera must be in the on mode.

Instructions

There are two conditions under which a blinking "H" will appear in the
LCD panel: (1) when the film has been loaded incorrectly or (2) when the
camera's self-test process detects an internal malfunction. If a
blinking "H" indication appears, perform the following operations in
attempt to resolve the situation:

1. Rewind and remove the film using the rewind button, then remove the
battery to clear the memory.

2. Clean the contacts at the base of the battery compartment with a
clean pencil eraser to ensure proper contact between the camera and
battery.

3. Replace the battery, power the camera back up1.gif and operate it as if
it had film loaded, pressing the shutter release.

Nikon one touch zoom 90 camera

I bought this camera at Value Village for $1.99. It came up with an E. I assumed this was an E for empty. I loaded a film and it is fine. [email protected]

Problems rewinding film.

Your film is already rewound (if I understood you correctly). Your camera is beeping because the film is rewound and there is no film for the camer to take the photo on since it has been rewound.
