Fault I have a picture distortion problem with my Thomson TV 28wn22u. Both side the picture is concaving. I was told the problem can be solved using the remote. But how?

Have you tried changing the VIEW Mode on your remote from ZOOM to Normal. Might Help.

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergene board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors are dead too.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv convergence picture problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

Replace all capacitors in Hyper Module mounted on main board of tv to solve this issue. These are maybe 10 capacitors, replace them all, this will solve your tv picture problem.

Go to menu then setup look for convergence if not on menu you have a blowed fuse FL231 will be next to FBT flyback transfomer on right side there is 3 in a roll small brown looking caps but they are fuses it will be the one in the middle.You can take a pair of plyers to pull off top they are all removeable and just snap back on.

Thyere is a fault in the horizontal stage or supply, I suggest Horizontal, if electronically minded check capacitors around the HO stage, could also be a ceramic cap....Phil

This is a convergence rpoblem that is either bad connections on the pins of the convergence ICs or defective ICs. If you can solder and are comfortable working inside TVs where there are potentially dangerous high voltages, let me know and I'll provide additional details and instructions for fixing this yourself.

I have the same situation. Called my repairman, who knew exactly that it needed a "570 kit" . It will be repaired this week. Cost $360

thats usually a convergence IC failure, Are you able to move the red and blue colors in the convergence adjustment menu?
