"F6" is a Motor Speed error problem. It is commonly attributed to either a broken or slipped drive belt, defective Drive Motor, bad Motor Control Unit (MCU), and/or the interconnecting wiring. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608706-f06_error_code

First, remove the back panel of the unit and make sure the drive belt is not broken, or has not slipped off the drum pulley.

Then, remove the top panel of the washer and check all the connector plugs between the Drive Motor, MCU and Central Control Unit (CCU). Check for loose connections and then unplug each connector and plug them back in (one at a time) to ensure they are snug and making good contact. The top panel comes off by removing the three screws that hold it in place in the rear of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then off.

NOTE: You only need to check the connectors that affect the drive motor and MCU circuitry.

The MCU has a tachometer mounted on it. If it is determined to be the cause of the problem, it is considered part of the MCU and cannot be replaced separately. The MCU is not serviceable and will require replacement.

Next, check the motor windings to ensure they are reading the proper resistance. Followed by continuity checks of all the interconnecting wiring between the drive motor, MCU and CCU. You should not need a service manual because each one of these washers comes with a technical data sheet.

For more in depth troubleshooting tips refer to your tech sheet located inside the washer behind the lower toe panel. You will need to locate and remove the screws under the bottom front edge of the toe panel. Once removed, the panel will drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't located directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls. The tech sheet includes all error codes, test points, diagnostic procedures and helpful illustrations to assist in troubleshooting and repair of your washer.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartrsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. The first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG 8210 runs for about 5 mins in any program then stops with F06 error code. Inlet water supply, hose, solenoid & filter all okay, also spray nozzles & heating circuit all clear.

If your dishwasher has set off an alarming F06 error code on the digital display, it is likely to be a problem with the water filling the machine.
Check for an intermittant inlet solenoid.

What is causing error codes F06 E01?

This error message means an electronic communications problem. Press pause/cancel twice to cancel the error and then disconnect the power cord from the outlet, wait few minutes, plug the power cord back in and select a new wash cycle.

If you see the same error again then you need to check the connections located between the drive motor and motor control unit.

I am greeting a flashing code of F06 as in goes into spin cycle and it stops running.

Hi,

The F06 code will indicate a drive motor tachometer error. This means the control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If the failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will unlock after 3 minutes.
The error code F06 is likely a loose connection in the harness between the motor and the (MCU) or between the (MCU) and the (CCU). It could also be the tachometer circuit in the motor or an intermittent internal component connection within the (MCU). Since the (CCU) has already been replaced, the failure is likely a loose harness connection or the (MCU). I recommend calling a service technician to check the connection.

Hope this helps.

Machine stops mid cycle with F06 error

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F06 in your whirlpool duet indicates that the control is unable to properly detect the motor speed and so the washer shuts down. This usually occurs during high speed spin and the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the wire harness connections between the Driver motor and the Motor control unit (MCU). If that is fine then check the connection between the MCU & central control unit (CCU), replace the part that has gone bad. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

My Front load washing machine has an error flashing that says F 06. It starts washing and then stops about 1 min into a cycle.

Hello, welcome to Fixya. Since many manufacturer's use there own unique error codes, i.e. F06 on some may indicate a faulty motor, others may indicate a faulty pump for example. Can you clarify the make of your machine as well as a model number ? I'll watch for your relpy and try to assist you from there. Macmarkus :)
