Generic answer: Look for pin-hole size hole on front or back of CD drive (may have to open PC case to get at it) and push into it with the end of an unwound paperclip. Meant to release the disk. Hope this works for your drive.
Go to Spinwise and see if they have a fresh download--sounds like your program is corrupted. Or try going back t a time when you know it was working, and do a system restore to that date.
DVD burners only last so long unfortunately! I've replaced many myself and have found that it's also not worth buying any lite-on in my opinion. Have a look around using the link below and you'l get a decent brand at a low price. Once a DVD writer has burned lot's of discs the lens itself becomes burnt out as far as I am aware, sometimes after 200 burns with cheap ones.
