I got a dp video indash and instaled it now i dont get sound in spekers in car. subs work fine and i get some sound but it sounds like **** distorted.they worked fine before instaling indash.can it be the wiring harness i did buy it sepret than indash.

configure ur PC (both OS audio and third party sound driver) for surround sounds. control panel- sounds and audio devices - speaker settings - advanced - speker settings. so this done. make sure u select the 6 input channel - the button is on the right edge near the volume knob. near the vol button there are two buttons for selecting input type with up down arrow. from that u can select the input type this will be indicated on the top front indicator. but with the 6 input channel selected all selections are preceeded. if u select stereo mode u will have left/ right audio only.
make sure u connect the input right. connect from computer to 6 channel input. main, surround, center and sub-woofer.  connect the spekers to main (L/R), rear(surround) (L/R), center and sub woofer to terminal marked sub woofer ouput. this done select like i said before the 6 channel button. that should do it.

Hi there , the green light just means its getting Power, it doesnt mean that its going to give sound, It could be that you dont have Drivers installed for your Sound card which is causing it too not get sound , but when it makes that static noise , its the Wire just causing Static with the Sub , just means its getting power , The + and - sign is the volume control ...Try see if you can turn it louder with the + . maybe it is low enough not too hear.....Hope this helped Bud

check all your fuses in the car and under your hood

put less songs on a dvd and make sure they are not compressed files

Check that you set it to Pro logic and check the speaker set-up. Set it to 5.1 Sounds like somthing is in the wrong setting.

u need to switch function screen to dvd screen. Button is on front of unit to scroll through screens.

have you installed sound driver ?
if not install from www.driverguide.com

this is a simple problem in u r speeker so first remove u r speeker and chek the connections are perfect r not if the connectinons r fre fect then the problem will be in speker,i hope so the emiter is lost so once u see the connections and if u find nothin in it change the speeker then u r problem will be solved

check for the manual online, also make sure you have the driver for the speakers....
