BlackBerry Pearl 8100: My Blackberry curve isn't receiving any SMS messag...

Hi, go to your wireless provider web site and got their proper number "SMS Message Center Numbers".
On the phone, go to Options/SMS Text, move down to the Service Center line and put in the proper number remembering to put the + plus sign in front of it. So if you get a Protocol Error and a Red X when trying to send SMS text, check this to fix it..

my blackberry pearl would delete my messages when i would get them. i took my phone in and they said to get a memmory card for it. i got one and know it works just fine

Please try clearing some of the messages stored in your Inbox and Sent Items as well. This could be preventing new messages from coming in because the memory is full.

Hi, please check in Blackberry handset for firewall settinb is enabled to receive sms,
1) Go to Options
2) Advance Option
3) Security settings
4) Please check if the incoming sms message is enabled
5) if it is enabled then please remove it.
6) Save or Ok
If this is not working then the message centre number would be wrong, please comtact your Service provider.

Sort the messages on Sender's name, then select all the messages of that particular sender & delete

Open up your messages, then click your menu button then go to Options. Click on General options, there will be alot there, scroll down until you see something like "SMS and Email Inboxes". Click on that to change the options, the choices are: Theme Controlled, Seperate, Combined.

select options --> select profiles --> select advanced --> select SMS --> menu --> change options --> select the desired ringtone

YOUR BB MMS SETTINGS IS CORRUPTED SO CALL YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER AND ASK THEM TO SEND THE MMS SETTINGS TO YOUR BB.

Go to messages on the home screen. Go to the top of the message list. Hit "menu" and go to "delete prior"
