Can you restore all settings from the menu?

Make sure you've downloaded the driver for your video card. As long as that is installed and it supports higher resolutions, you should be able to go to your system settings and change it (this process will depend on your operating system).

It does not have DVI port, only VGA.

Did you check the fuse PF751, it should be less than 1 Ohm?
Also look for cold solder joints.

Hi, This is a common problem with LCD monitors and is usually a result of blown capacitors or it could be a failed backlight as the inverter will shut down if it detects this. You will need to open up your monitor and you will be able to see if any capacitors have "blown" but failure of a lot of components will cause this symptom.

sounds like a video card problem in your pc. If you are using the onboard video output on your motherboard, you probably need a new one. If you are using a card that has been added to the board in a slot, try your onboard output (looks the same)

it depends whether it displays anything. There's only one fuse which determines if the power is on or nor. If your monitor turns on, I would not look for the bad fuse.
